    Headlamp removal/cold air feed

I take it they are going to break then? How do I get to the induction piping/valve down below the headlamp?

    Headlamp removal/cold air feed

Just wondering is anyone knows how to remove the passenger side headlamp on a Clio 172. Now I'm no idiot when it comes to car mechanics but even the plugs on the electrics behind the lamps seemed impossible to unplug! Basically I want to get down to the induction piping in the wing to do...

    wud u choose a 182 or 1 ov theze?

11k may get you an okay S3 but it'll have more miles on than any of the other cars.....Audis still hold their prices.

    Clio 172 Mk2 Supercharger

That's a lot of money for the power:eek:

    Stealers Crazy Prices

That's bloody ridiculous I think if you know anything about cars you'll look other places apart from the dealers.

Yep, good advice 13k would get you a good VI:)

    Ktec exhaust for 182

I think K-tec do source out a lot of their work on parts to other brands. Luckily enough I brough their stealth syastem. Had Magnex on before which sounded better but the BB pipes weren't my cup of tea.

Got my 172 de-cat/sports cat. Couple of Questions.

Yep Should be easy to spot looking through the short, uncurved section:)

    cone filter, strut brace

911 would be very nice:) Still, I'm going to stick with my 172 for a while as it does seem like a pretty good car:)

    NOS and your Clio!

Agree Any big power modification needs supporting mods

    cone filter, strut brace

172/182 much easier to live with that Subaru/evo or Skyline. I can now leave my car in most places overnight without worrying about it and drive through town without loads of kids commenting on the car:D

Well I owned the WRX for a couple of years so learned a lot about them mechanically. Have to agree again though...I did think towards the end of my Subaru ownership that the car was slightly overrated....TBH now if I had the money I'd say f**k it and go down the nearest Porsche garage:)

    Being clumsy is expensive!!

Just drop a blob or two of glue in there and the screw will soon find a sticky home:D Think yourself very lucky though....I dropped a nut down the filler for the gearbox in my old WRX!!!!!! Luckily I undid the gearbox drain plug and it was sitting there....if it hadn't of been there I would...

''In my opinion Subaru drivers are much worse for mouthing off.'' That is a generalization but I can see where you are coming from....I'm getting stick now of most of the Subaru owners that I used to know (laughter). Lets be honest though, a lot of people are slagging off the evo/Subaru...

    Electric Supercharger

Sounds very dodgy to me. Raising boost/adding superchargers or turbos without a properly mapped ecu is a perfect receipe for a lean running car and det-damaged pistons:(

I have to agree with you on the MLR to some degree as well as SIDC (Subaru Impreza Drivers Club). The way some people talk about their cars on there anyone would have thought they had the Millenium Falcon tucked away in the garage!!!!!!! Evos and Scoobies are fantastic cars though....I did...

Got my 172 de-cat/sports cat. Couple of Questions.

Definately looks like sports cat...looks black though so has someone painted it with some ceramic paint or something similar? IIRC the O2 sensor holes are 18mm

    Value of a trick 172

Agree Your more likely to get a sale as well if you return the car to standard. Parts definately better sold separately:)

    cone filter, strut brace

Absolute nonsense Even a stock FQ300 would be quicker in 'real world' driving conditions As for a modified one....no chance

    182 Vs Ctr..

A CTR was onmy list when I was looking for a new car but after reading lots of reviews on them I was put off. Lots said about the CTRs powerband, lack of torque and unpredictable nature in the wet. After reading a few evo articles I was definately won over by the Clio:)

    182 Vs Ctr..

CTR - quicker in a straight line Clio - faster round the bends

I've been looking for a manual for my 172 with no success. Be good to gat access to all this info in the future if we can get permission:)

Welcome to the forum Pretty new myself....have only had my 172 a couple of months

    I got myself a cup!

Nice one...enjoy the car. These Clios are such good fun to drive:)

i know you will all kill me, but what are your opinions...

I've never been much into neons...or graphics, bodykits or wheels for that matter....just my personal preference to have a car looking std. IMHO best of spending money on parts that will make a difference to the way the car handles/performs
  28. Neil G

    cone filter, strut brace

Sorry mate...I did forget to say you wouldn't notice much difference for normal road use....I'm sure if your a real track fiend strut braces and proper suspension alignment will help out handling wise. Oh yeah...I with you on the evo....still the best all out performance car bar none....apart...
  29. Neil G

    cone filter, strut brace

IMHO you won't notice much difference with a strut brace.....the suspension turrets are far too close to the bulkhead anyway where they are well supported.

    What Is The Best I/K

I'm still sticking to my guns on the OE airbox...if it gets hot just wrap it in some heat insulating mat. I've been used to running a turbo car which had much more heat issues than the Renault ever will.....the general consensus with them was also to keep the OE airbox unless going for really...
