This is the second Cup version of the Clio. The original Cup – based on the then range-topping 172 Sport – was a homologation special designed to allow Renault into Group N rallying. The new car is nothing more than a nice sales idea, and that’s worrying in itself: performance cars that lose...
I take it none of you are properly insured then?
Imagine if someone with no insurance at all i.e like a 2.0 litre valver owner who insures it as a 1.8, a fool who probab;ly pays 2k for not actually having any insurance. Anyway back on to topic imagine if said fool hit your car or worse child...
Why do you have to ask?
Becuase effectivly said child will be uninsured and will join the ranks of the many uninsured drivers who push up our premiums every year. Scum is a more apt term!
Stupid question as there is no such model as the 2l corsa, iirc there was a warm 1.8 so they would have to use that in their std vs std aprt from the corsa being heavily modified argument..
kids...tsk rolls eyes!
Thats sensible and yeah each to their own! I just cant help thinking its little more than a badge exercise but nonetheless it would be that much sharper than the 182 (albeit 20kg shaper)!!
The main differences between a 182 and 182 cup are as folows.
Revised suspension, track and geometry, far superior to a 182 with cup pack even.
Significantly faster due to a massive weight saving
Competition based braking system
air cooled vents instead of fog lights to supply cold air to...
Yeah I think they improved the suspension over the 172 cup, I would even go as far to say the 182 cup is a better hot hatch than the 172 cup, but its to close to the std 182 to be called a cup version and it has too many toys and driver aids to be a pure blood!
Hi Roy,
If you can stretch to the full 182, it has just come joint second in EVOs car of the year awards. It is a fantastic little car, as is im sure the 182 cup.
Unfortunatly the 182 cup was simply a marketing exercise, along the lines of lets put cheaper bits in and oh look we saved...
Ask yourselves who drives those sorts of cars.............kids
When was the last time you saw an appropriate adult in a rude boy car?
Fact is people grow out of it and then laugh at the kids who are now doing it
I am strangly drawn to pointing and laughing at cars like in the image above...
Renault Clio 182
Renault is going places in 2004. It makes cars that are intriguingly styled and, in the main, pretty good to look at. Those cars are technically advanced and environmentally aware. Most importantly, from Renaults point of view, the cars sell well. For a perfect example of what...
I used to use the pro #16 paste wax which gave great results on my cup but the nxt just seems to outshine it and almost produce a glossy seal over the perfect paintwork!
Ah.......thats why you have the cobweb effect lol!
Stop using the halfords stuff and try the following
Wash the car in washing up liquid to strip it of all the T cut crap
Clay the car with a clay bar and lubricant from meguiars
Apply meguiars swirl free polish which will remove your...
^^How many boxster drivers or vr6 drivers cant drive fast in a straight line?
Remove the driver and pop a brick on the loud pedal the boster will still win!
