So 5w30 is bad? :(

Anyone know what oil i should be getting? At first i was told to get a 10w40 semi but was told this is wrong and ended up buying a 5w30 fully synthethic. Have i bought the right/wrong oil?

Does that mean it blocks gps signal?

My old one never had it... thought it was an rsi extra like the slight tints to all the rest. Oh well, looks cool.

As title, is it heated or rain sensitive or something? Looks like it has a blue tinge to it like some sort of film on top?

Mine did the same when i picked my new car up mate. Cleaned out the loom connector with wd40 and it works fine now :) Seriously, try cleaning it out first!!!

Oh btw, increasing the resistance does dim the lights when they are on, but seems to have no effect on the offending 4 lights... which is why maybe the diode method did not work and also why i suspect an error in circuit board.

Update - messed about with electronics + soldering iron today... Fitted a 500u potentiometer to adjust the brightness (some say its too bright!) Also, fitting a diode did nothing... im guessing the 4 lights staying on was an error in the circuit board. So... i just cut and stuck some...

Well, just come back from halfords been playing with a unit for 20 mins or so really like it... so just took the plunge and ordered a unit from china on ebay. Tbh i hate the radio :) but its nice to know this one will pick up euro stations if i want them.

Ok, changed my mind now... thinking of getting one of these :) Are they any good? Ill be using it with my 80gb ipod classic. Heard there are some compatability issues? Also, how does an ipod hook up to it? Whats "full speed" and why do you need and extra cable for it? Im confused lol :S

Afaik the cambelt kit is just the cambel and tensioners, you still need to buy the aux belt seperate, about £20 quid. Whilst your at it id get the covers to the cams too
