Not as much fun as a red shed of a 172 imo ;)

    Twingo airbox bung

That would be very useful! I'd be surprised to see any difference, but would be nice to have it confirmed.

    Twingo airbox bung

Lol. I think Gray's joking boys. be interested to see the rr result with and without the bung on the same day.

    Twingo airbox bung

Sure most know about this. Side of the airbox there's a small rubber bung that you can remove. Below it are several small perforations in the airbox. Removing the bung gives the car a nice induction growl. Now forgive me if I'm being dense, I don't understand induction etc at all. But would...

    182 cup packs suspension upgrades

Oh, and even if you do go for coilovers, the ARB is worthwhile. If you have to pick, get the ARB.

    182 cup packs suspension upgrades

I'd get the ARB on the standard springs, then see if you need to go further. Or if you really want coilovers, sacrifice a track day and get some H&R's or Bilsteins.

finishing touches to the white 172 :)

Needs the stickers for the front grille area as well.

finishing touches to the white 172 :)

Think it would look better with gloss black side strips and mirrors. Needs something to break it up.

    v6 or r26.r

Iirc DkMax bought a Megane because CS said so. Or they wouldn't let him have a go in a Focus. I forget.

    v6 or r26.r

I'd want to use both on track. I wouldn't want to use either as a daily runner.

    v6 or r26.r

2 massively different cars. Would depend on the type of driving you do. Although I do think the R26r would be a bit of a one trick pony, and the Vee has more strings to its bow. Assuming we're talking ph2 vee, ph1 vee it would be the megane everytime.

iPhone lap timing with video logging

Doubtful mate, it's the day after the night out for my 30th. If I'm awake by then it's not been a good night.

iPhone lap timing with video logging

It seems sturdy enough, but won't know until it's been on track in all honesty!

iPhone lap timing with video logging

No fella. My sister lives in Manc, so I'm up fairly often.

I live in Birmingham, but work in Worcester (opticians next to Halifax in the centre).

iPhone lap timing with video logging

Following on from that, decided I needed a track friendly mount for the iphone. Went for this, not cheap (£50ish), but sturdy and stable. Had to use some rubber bungs between the arms to help it grip and protect the dash. But it works!

Coilovers v oe dampers + sportlines

I wouldn't touch cheap coilovers. A good compromise would be the koni adjustable dampers set-up. Well set-up and designed coilovers should be very good on road and track. Although coilovers etc are far from essential.

    Clio 172 or 182?

They will all of been ragged!
  28. ForceIndia

    Clio 172 or 182?

There's not a huge difference between them. Late 172's had cruise, so identical spec wise. 172 exhaust is cheaper to replace when it falls off. Given the similarity between them I'd go for the best condition available. I'm selling a 172 soon, I'll pm you once the ad goes up if you're interested.
