Why would it being full make a difference? Ffs I thought you were scottish, not Irish. New insults required.
"I'm the most wanted man on my island....."
You have more suspension options without the cup packs, so if you're changing you've done well! I can't recommend the KW's enough, combined with a whiteline ARB mine was the best handling Clio I've ever driven. I'd be sorely tempted to get the wheels done gloss black on a racing blue, and the...
At road speeds, all hot hatches are ffs. Point is you can't push them (safely) hard enough on the road for the differences to be apparent.
Both good cars, but the Trophy is better. The Trophy is not slightly better to drive, it's far better imo.
I don't understand the fuss over xenon's on...
It's not about speed ya halfwit! The Trophy could be slower, but it would still have the sweeter chassis and be more fun to drive. Because Billy-bob and Cleetus can drive them at roughly the same speed
means bugger all. I doubt either of you are capable of extracting the best from either car...
Reviews are not the be all and end all, but this sums up the Trophy for me. I was glad every time I turned the key to be in a Trophy over all the other RS'. Regardless of the slightly feminine colour, a LY 182 is just the same as all other 182's. A Trophy is a more special experience, and more...
Go for a 200. Def step up from the 197's, and some great deals about.
If you want something that's easy to live with, the mk3's are great. For entertainment/fun, the 197 just doesn't hold a candle to the Trophy, but it's better built, more comfortable, better brakes, more refined and just...
Owned both. Trophy all day long. I do heart the illusion that trophy's are bad because the suspension needs a rebuild once in a while. As opposed to the standard 182, with it's magic dampers that will never wear out. Ever.
I agree, but the Armco seems a lot closer from vids etc. And I can get insurance for a uk trackday. The potential for financial ruin seems epic at the ring.
Exactly. Need to find out how the tc etc would cope, I imagine the steering wheel position sensor would need changing, otherwise the ESP would s**t itself.
I'm not going to pay silly money for one. It would be an improvement, but not essential imo.
Only things I'll consider changing are the...
After seeing a few similar vids and pics, I doubt I'll ever go. I don't see the point in going all that way to mooch around slowly, and with all the traffic/bikers etc I wouldn't want to go over and drive hard.
Mine was massively cheap at the time, because it was half unpainted. That was the only reason I went for it. Had one been available with all the bits done I would of had it!
