Joe, you want the dampers turned up more than that, start off at about 10 clicks from soft all round, and tweak it from there. You'll most likely want it even slightly firmer on the front, but do it to your taste :)
I remember it now, was a bit longer ago than I thought but just had a look through records.
ITB kit I sell/fit is 100% reversible with no wires cut anywhere. Take you for a spin in mine if you want. It's got Spax coilovers fitted too ;)
water pump is the most awkward bit due to where it routes through behind the alternator.
pretty straightforward really, but still regularly cocked up as no-one sets the tensioner right
those cheap catch-cans usually have too small hosetails. Some have the larger kind now but the reall bad ones only have a 6mm internal.
If you get one like that, I'd recommend some low density foam be added to actually catch the vapour before it blows straight out the other end
change the thermostat, and change the lambda. Tired examples of each can all seem to work, but only really be "ok" I've seen 3-4mpg improvement going from a tired/slow lambda that technically worked, to a new one before. A tired stat will take ages to get you up to temperature, meaning you're in...
bit of a sweeping statement, the eccentric washer design is quite good when it's used right, I hate the eccentric bolt design. I quite like a slotted hole and both bolts being original, you can do them up so much tighter
I've enquired about getting replacement bolts for vmaxx. Will chase it up...
well, more the cams. High comp with 421's would be a nice graph to see (although I've seen it done, and IMO the cams held the engine back at that point) and 422's with stock pistons, remachined with larger valve pockets is also an interesting proposition. There are a lot more combinations to...
there you go. can see how with 421s and stock-ish compression, the peak torque plateau is reached quite a bit earlier. you could almost shuffle the curve over by 1000rpm. I like lower rpm torque gains :)
/geek rambling over
I had tried that a few months back when it started after doing some googling. (been living off mains power, and my older laptop has been promoted for portable use)
didn't seem to do anything at all, but i'll give it another go. Cheers
Still smiling about it LOL
been comparing a high-comp build graph, which I'll post if anyone's interested. Torque powerband seems to be over a very similar rev span, but earlier in the range with what we've done, so for where I was told it lacked before (coming out of slower corners), we've...
My Dell has developed a fault, where it doesn't recognise the original charger as genuine item (A message to that effect appears)
This means I can only run on mains power. I've been told that it's probably a board inside that regulates charging.
Would this be the correct item I need? anyone...
