KTR coilovers VS V-maxx coilovers vs Eibach springs

From what I've heard, vmaxx are a better bet than raceland. Personally, I'd go OE Shocks and sportlines, + whiteline adjustable rear ARB.

    Ph1 172 Flamer Track/Road car

Quick wash. Splitter needs a wee adjustment, but no other plans for the moment. Unless some cheap pro race 3's come up.

    newbie with corsa VXR!

If you're going to be doing a few track days, a 172/182 with decent coilovers is a better bet than a Trophy. One of the reasons I sold this For this

Differences in ph1 and ph2 exhaust?

I had a similar problem. You're best of looking out for a ph1 twin lambda cat. I've been told the ph2 cat is more restrictive.

Differences in ph1 and ph2 exhaust?

There are 2 different ph1 cats. The single lambda sensor version is shorter, the twin lambda version is longer and the same length as the ph2 cat. I've had both on my car, they def exist.

R888's becoming illegal for road use next year?

Even driving like a prick it's difficult to get heat into the rears. Tbh if someone has the money for a dedicated track car, a set of steelies with cheap road rubber shouldn't be a stretch.

What will you use the car for? Trackdays etc?

Very easy, and worth doing. Under an hour easy.

    eibach pro vs sportline

2 holes each side. You can have them both in the same hole ( the rear holes are the soft setting). If you then move 1 bolt forward that the middle setting, or you can move them both forwards for hard. I've been told that full hard is pretty extreme, one to try on track IMO.

    eibach pro vs sportline

No, more precise. The effect is actually quite tricky to explain, best to try and get a shot in a car with one. You can disconnect it in 2 mins, so it's quite easy to do a back to back test.

    eibach pro vs sportline

I had a play with mine today, put it on the middle of the 3 settings. 10mins, a clear noticeable difference. If more people had experience of these, I think they would be the most popular handling mod on here.

    eibach pro vs sportline

Handling wise, yes. But the ride quality is barely affected (a good thing). Tbh, for people that aren't venturing on track, a set of eibachs and a whiteline arb would be a better bet than most coilovers.

Refreshing for someone to just accept the points and not whine about it. Well played fella!

Mine used to do it on a regular basis. With and without decat. Wouldn't worry about it.

New laptop old iPod, will I lose my songs??

Yes, but there's a free program (sharepod) which will let you copy the music off the pod into iTunes.
  18. ForceIndia

    eibach pro vs sportline

Had both. Handling wise there's very little in it. The pros barely alter the ride from standard.

R888's becoming illegal for road use next year?

The penalty will be the same as having bald tyres, so points will be dished out. Afaik it's not occured yet, but the legislation is coming this year. A lot of the euro stuff is ott, but tbh I agree with this. Having being caught in a rainstorm (middle of summer) on r888's, they are woeful in...

    Trophy rear shocks

He's talking rear shocks people, not the fronts. The rears aren't anywhere near as pricey as the fronts. Renault direct.

    Ph1 172 First proper clean 2010

Really nice. Ph2 lights on a ph1 rear works well IMO. But I'm a bit biased!

It would be a slower, worse car imo if it were 4wd.

    RX-8 on Piston Heads

I like them. Great chassis, nice interior, good fun. The engine is the weak link imo, more power/torque would bring it to life.

    182 Cup for Trophy?

Having owned both, I'd say it depends on the type of use it's going to get. If it's purely road (b road blasts etc) then the Trophy is a great option. It's not perfect (1st thing I would do is to remove the vibration washers to lower the seats). If it's for track use, keep the 182 and get...
