All I can comment on re AST is my own experience. In total my car spent 6hrs at powerstation to try and resolve the car pulling to one side. I was then told (by Curtis) that my rear axle was bent. No doubt.
Since having the car checked over at a local tyre centre using this equipment...
I've owned 4x ph2's, now a ph1. The only ph2 I'd have over a good ph1 would be a trophy. The dash doesn't bother me, I genuinely barely look at the dash when driving.
Coming from 172 dampers with apex springs they were an improvment, but the kw are far better for me. I would of had the front springs changed and the dampers revalved if I had any faith in them, but wasn't worth the risk.
Your faith in a bunch of 'experts' that can't even align a Clio correctly amazes me. I appreciate that you've had a positive experience with them, but not everyone has, both in terms of quality and service.
Do your research, spend plenty of time looking at cars, get someone to mechanically check it over before buying. I've (touches wood) never had any major issues with any of the second hand cars I've bought.
OMG, a 2nd hand car suffering wear and tear? Whatever next?!
What do people do to these cars? I've had 5 RS's, current one is the oldest (x reg). The only non-consumable cost (ie brakes, tyres etc) thats gone is the aux belt pulley. And that's despite 25k miles a year, about 9 track days over...

Are the figures for toe-out on front, 1mm total, or 1mm each side?
