Welcome to denial;). 10mph greater apex speed over the same 2 corners at Bedford. Thats a hell of a difference. Much like the ph2 172, the 197 will be seen as the runt of this gen Clio in years to come.

200 yes, 197 no. The Trophy was quicker than the 197 at Bedford (and oddly the 182cup quicker still by fractions). The 200 monsters them both, 2sec per lap and 10mph greater apex speed than the 197 over the final 2 corners. It's def a step up.

I would of stayed with 15's, but tyre choice for 205's is poor.

Surely you could run more than 2.5 degree camber on a track car?

Build quality spot on, rears spot on. Front's too firm for my taste, but it's a personal thing, and they can be valved/sprung to your preference.

My exhaust light came on reg, never caused a problem. But if you've got warranty, get it checked.

Happened on ours a few times, static build up I was told. I think, we removed the battery and held the power button down for a minute. Then put battery in and try again.

Best reason for a 182 is racing blue. Only colour worth having.

Having owned both, I'd rather a ph2 172 than a 182. No difference in speed, the exhaust costs less when (not if) it falls off, you get a spare wheel, and 35mpg v 32mpg. And far nicer colour range.

Easy solution. Have a look in the footwell, should be 3 rectangular plates attached to arms. The one on the right, be gentle with it;).

Why not? Ph1 172's and early ph2's didn't have it. It's only 165ish bhp, not really needed.

Pain in the arse at Bedford, especially at the first hairpin and the left leading onto the straight.

Ph1 has cable throttle, ph2 has fbw.

Throttle response is better in the ph1, no doubt. And it's immediately noticeable. Have you owned a 182? Or just the Trophy?

Don't forget they are lighter as well.
