    1100miles, 1 awesome track!!

Think I'd rather save up for an RMA track day there.

    1100miles, 1 awesome track!!

Wish I could get over, looks awesome. One thing thats bothered me recently, is it worth it? I read about a lot of people going and only getting a few laps in, is it worth it given the hassle getting over there? Can you only do 1 lap at a time?

    £1k to spend one a 172

Suppose it depends on useage. I'd say for purely road useage -Vmaxx coilovers 450ish set-up -Uprated brakes 200ish -Advanced driver training

    **HELP** 2k Idle on ph1 172

Adjusting the throttle stop made no difference to mine, the throttle will still stick at the same point.

    Different ? - white mk5's

Cracking cars, good to drive, quick, well built. They are common for a reason.

    £1k to spend one a 172

Better to drive, but only slightly. £1k on a 172? 4-5 track days. There's nothing else you'll do that will bring more enjoyment from the car.

Some great roads near Cheltenham. Lucky escape!

Do i tell insurance they have got my details wrong before taking out a policy?

Indeed. Elderly, diabetic, old ladies with Glaucoma have an excellent safety record behind the wheel.

Do i tell insurance they have got my details wrong before taking out a policy?

I'd insure it in an elderley relatives name, and have the annual mileage as 1k.

    Spare in a 182?

    I'm lol'ing so hard!

Do i tell insurance they have got my details wrong before taking out a policy?

You might not think they would refuse but they would be perfectly within their rights not too. As it was described to me, ignorance is not a valid excuse. Its your responsibility to ensure the details are correct, not theirs.

Do i tell insurance they have got my details wrong before taking out a policy?

Insurance works on declaration of truth. When you sign the paperwork they'll send you are confirming the details. Wrong car, they could quite easily refuse a pay-out.

    Cruise controll

Cruise maintains your speed even if you don't touch the throttle. Speed limiter you still have to apply throttle, but it stops you going above a set speed.

    Cruise controll

One direction is cruise, one is speed limiter.

West Mids exhaust weld + centre section *help*

FFS, doesn't sound good! I'll look after the 182 ;).

    Spare in a 182?

If that's the choice, keep it in fella. Won't do any harm, and you'll only need to use it once (or get stuck without it) to appreciate it.

    **HELP** 2k Idle on ph1 172

Just do similar to my bodge spring fix. It works, it's cheap, can't see the -ve tbh.

OT, but did you get the brake lines sorted?

    Does cruise still work?

    Spare in a 182?

Plus, if you never remove the spare James, you'll never notice any weight difference (not that I think you would anyway).

    Spare in a 182?

I always run a spare. Not fun if you get a flat miles from home at night and end up waiting an hour plus for an RAC van. Just get a space saver, will do the job.

    G day...

Good for you fella, I don't get people that lock cars away and don't use them.

    G day...

All just cars at the end of the day. It's insured (TPFT;), so whats the worst that could happen?

    New steering wheel

Wouldn't put me off at all. There's dozens of old Porka's that I want to own, none of which have airbags. Does make you a bit more cautious though!

    Minor Accident Big Expense

Sorry to ask a dense question, but did it fall off from the vehicle directly in front? Just wondering why you didn't have time to slow/avoid?
