The Golf's a very, very good hot hatch as standard, certainly more so than the VXR, Meg 225, and Focus ST IMO. Not the most exciting car, but brilliant.
Said it before and I stand by it. The Astra VXR is the worst performance car I've ever driven, by some distance. Woeful, in no particular order
-Power delivery
-Traction
-Gearshift
-Interior
-Steering
Just an awful car.
Not sure fella, I know that with all the motorsport stuff he's uber busy at the moment. I think after the spam-fest that the last thread became they'll keep it under wraps until it's ready for sale.
When the inlet is released, going from whats been said, you could get it fitted with cams for that money. But, obviously until it's released it's impossible to talk bhp etc.
Throttle body spring fucked, common problem, lots going at the moment. My ghetto fix
You can tell if it's the spring. Pop the hood, give the car a few revs until it idles at 2k. Then manually try and close the throttle (ie turn the plastic wheel). If the revs die to a normal idle, that's yoiur...
Can't stand all the tow sticker nonsense. For posing show ponies IMO. Are you going for every CS fad on one car? Sure you'll end up pedo bear stickers, tow sticker, turini's, show cage. Will be the quickest 182 in McD's.
I like them as a road seat. No supportive enough for a lot of track days, but a really nice road set-up IMO. They look a hell of a lot nicer than Daytona's as well. They drop you down nicely, more than the Trendline's.
Yep, and fitted a pair. Pm Riz, he may have a mint 2nd hand pair for sale. I've had Recaro Trendlines, waste of cash. Barely lowers the driving position (10mm) there are better options out there far cheaper.
I've got the terminal program up. Typed the above and get this screen
Do I just copy the text in and save?
Getting confused by this instruction
5) Edit /etc/ppp/peers/dialup1 ("sudo nano /etc/ppp/peers/dialup1") - find the bottom paragraph, which starts "modem", and edit that part of the file...
Just got an eee pc, trying to set up my n95 as a modem using my data package. No idea of how to use linux, using this link to set it up
