What wheels are they? I've been thinking about the options for my Meg. Some of the nicest ones are so expensive, can't justify that. Those look nice though.
That looks really great, especially given the mileage. You'd never think it had nearly 100k on it judging by the pictures! Great car for the money.
There is a short shift mod you can do on some MK2 RS models, but I don't know if it can be done to the R26. Have a look on www.rsmegane.com, you...
Thanks for the info, useful to know. Seems to be a decent supply of these wheels in the Subaru/Evo rally world. I was always put off the Subaru ones due to the centre bore but not an expensive fix by the sounds of it.
I was about to ask about machining costs, but you have answered already! Is the £25 just to have the centre bore altered, or to skim the mounting face too? I have wondered about trying to get a set like this in 18" for my Megane. Think they would really suit it.
Fiesta ST is a bit of a bargain I think. Their popularity has meant they can be had for very good money. I'd definitely consider one. Would have to be an ST-3 for me though. If it's a daily, I'd want maximum equipment.
Yeah that's it. It's the European attitude through and through; make it cheap and people will come. In the UK, we price it high and hope people will come.
They have passed legislation in the UK to make closing roads easier. There are potential events in the pipeline but the NIMBY's are...
Epic.
The Europeans are so much better at rallying than us. I wish we could hold closed-road events like this. We spend far too much time listening to whinging locals who don't want the noise.

I don't have to drive it to the shops so it's ok 😂 In my old-fashioned opinion, it appears like the "wheel scene" often focuses on fitting wheels that are fancy/big/wide, but whether they suit the lines of the car appears secondary. Not something that I can get my...
Nice pics. This is definitely on my bucket list.
I went to Pistenklause for the first time this year. It's a cool place, but the food didn't rock my world. Love the stuff all over the walls though!
It's the wheels that get me I think. I like the RS front end, even the ride height doesn't upset me too much, but the wheels are just screaming "LOOK!!!! I've got Porsche wheels, aren't I cool?!?!?!" The problem for me is, they don't actually suit the lines of the car. It doesn't matter what I...
I like these. Would go for a MK2 myself, but I think both are great value. A lot of power for not a lot of cash and there seems to be plenty of bits out there to tinker with them. A car I'd like to own at some point I must say.
On a near standard road car I wouldn't bother but, on track, it's probably the first thing I would do to mine. Without traction control, my Cup spins up the inside wheel for fun on track days, especially if it's damp. A diff would help it along no end I would expect.
I think this could be a good buy if the price is right. Looks pretty good, has someone with plenty of experience behind it and seems to do the numbers. They don't have the name in performance road cars, but they are certainly going the right way about changing it. They have a decent chunk of...
Thanks for the info. I did think it was strange that people said it was only the 200 Cup that had swivel hubs but took it at face value.
My mate has said I can borrow his 197 for a few days so will see how I get on with it.
Interesting. Though if I made the change, it wouldn't stay civilised!
Which hubs did the R3 use? I was under the impression that the swivel hubs didn't appear on the MK3 until the 200 Cup chassis but was flicking through a 197 project thread recently and it looked like it had them?
It's a very...
Would love to see them some time, bet it sounded epic at full bore.
I agree, it's amazing what a laugh a near standard car can be. I know you've not done many miles yet, but how are you finding the change? My plan was to strip my Cup out and rally prep it but it's getting a bit tired. A mate of...
