Seeing my mate in his 1.7 Puma harassing cars with more than twice the power is hilarious. Nothing wrong with low-powered track cars. Good way to learn how to drive.
Interesting to hear you say that too. The Golf is an absolute weapon for a production car but, in terms if driving engagement, I'm with you, it leaves a lot to be desired. Could say that about most modern cars though I guess.

Cool little car this. The Ph2 rear end on a Ph1 does upset me slightly, but it does show how good a Ph2 would look in that colour!

Yeah absolutely. Had a go in an Escort rally car with a sequential box a couple of years ago, just a totally different experience to my car. A "proper" car just feels entirely different, just so focused.
Mountune were the same. Have demos of their cars but can't drive them.
Saying that, I went to a Ford dealer quite recently and they wouldn't let me test drive a Focus ST!
