    Track car footwear

I have race boots but that's because I wanted them for rallying...and I'm a tart. Some nice narrow trainers with the thinnest soles possible is what you want.

    The PH1 172 Appreciation Thread.

Like this a lot. The splitter and willies really do make it. Not a fan of that. It's a bit try-hard. All this carnards business on hatchbacks is not cool either.

    Who's Trophy Is This Then?

Not watched it. Assume he's another YT Jeremy Clarkson wannabe prat. I'll save myself the trouble methinks.

FAO Those With Existing Safety Devices Roll Cage, Msa Eligibilty

If the harness bar was in the main hoop, might this restrict seat mounting I wonder? Obviously the Clio is a pretty small car, so I wonder if a harness bar might limit how far back the seats could be mounted? Can't think what it would be like off-hand.

    Audi RS3

I think that's the case with most of the 4WD hot hatches really. My Golf is not very engaging at all, even the super-duper Focus RS still feels a bit fake somehow. They're all very good road cars though, which is what people want I suppose.

    Audi RS3

I'd really like to drive one of these. Can't imagine it's the most engaging thing ever, but probably overcome by the five cylinder-ness of the engine. Not so sure on the quilted leather on the seats myself though.

    Do I need a slap?

Not for me, would rather have an Impreza.

My Garage build Racetoy, clio 1.

Spoiler doesn't do much for me, but love it otherwise!

    Astra VXR Nurburgring Progress Thread

I've known a few people to own these and the gearbox does seem utterly hopeless. Don't they get through stem seals and the like a bit too?

    Trophy 220- Opinions...

You think you have it bad... I've just bought a Meg 265 and that's ET65 lol.

    Trophy 220- Opinions...

I think you're right there and I think that is part of the issue. The 1*2 was great value, while this is expensive compared to the competition. While there might be good deals out there, a lot of people won't know about them, so it just makes this appear quite pricey. Those good deals are also...

Various City Settings (Clio Pic Heavy)

Really great pictures of both cars. The two best colours for those two generations of Clio. Absolutely love this one: @Dr Jekyll you are very welcome to take pictures of my car any time!

    Trophy 220- Opinions...

It would be interesting to see the sales figures. They were certainly going for broader appeal, but I don't know if that is reflected in sales. I see more 1*2s than any other RS Clio lol.

    Trophy 220- Opinions...

No one doubts that I don't think. That isn't why people criticise it though.

    Trophy 220- Opinions...

As others have said, it could do with aftermarket wheels. The spoiler is a bit shouty but it does make it stand-out and gives it a bit more aggression. Someone seriously needs to rip-off the RS.16 wheel arches.

    Turini's bought for the 275 T

I like the wheels. Not sure I could drive it every day with them but, as a toy, I think it looks good, even better once lowered. It has the red details inside which help tie it together. I wonder if doing the logos on the doors and the "Trophy" lettering in red might help tie it together more...

Really beautiful car that. One of my dream garage cars that. Lovely work.

A few (amazing) pictures of the old steed. UR Clio 200.

Like @182_steve I never used to be that keen on 200s, but they are growing on me a lot. They look really good in a nice solid colour like UR or AG, it really sets them off, much better than the metallic options. Agreed on the subtle mods too. I don't think they need anything externally other...

    Megane R26R

I must say, I'm on the hunt for a mag 250/265 right now and this thread has put me right off a black one. Had black cars in the past and they are annoying. That being said, a car is for driving, I can't be bothered to worry about perfect paint. As I say, just get it on track and sod the swirl...

New Family Bus - Mk3 Octavia vRS

I like these a lot. Half thought about replacing my Golf with one, but got to scratch the Megane itch first.

Who still drives a clio or moved on

Bought my 172 Cup in 2014 has a temporary run about/track hack for a few months. Did 25k in it, then became one of the Golf R tossers. That's going now and will be replaced by a Megane 250/265. The Clio has long been retired from daily duties but isn't going anywhere. It's not worth a lot so may...

    r0ss172's Golf R Estate

That sounds awful. What a world we live in. The number of scumbags just seems to grow and grow.
