16v cast manifold is better for low down/mid range torque, as the 1.8 lacks torque, and the williams manifold is better for top end, as the 2.0 isnt as much of a screamer as the 1.8 so needs a hand top end!
The 16v cast manifold is generally better all round!
the blue 16v was lowered 40mm on 17s!
I had the 106 for 3 weeks, then couldnt resist another clio, but i did lov the 106, one of best cars iv owned, and handling was brilliant!!

it was ok, felt quick, but i was paranoid as fuk that it was gonna blow being an import, so i very rarely took it over 6krpm, and was always considerate with the gearbox etc. It was 280bhp, but my current clio feels/is quicker once rolling! The PIMP status was great though, and the noise it...

i get 250 miles to £50 if that lol! My impreza turbo was better on fuel than this clio! Rarely use it tho so not fussed :)
my runaround motor does 50+ mpg tho!
also known as the potentiometer. if ya thinking of adjusting it, be warned, I did years back and it bodged my idle up bigtime, it needs to be set to specific values to work properly!
im in love lol!!
