Biggest benefit to going ph2 for me is the LED headlights, once your used to a car with LED headlights it's hard to go back! Maybe it's just my eyes getting old!
I believe the facelift cars all got the revised gearbox software similar to the trophy too?
Thats the springs i run on my RSI,

They are strangely really comfortable! i think the ride is better than it was standard!, doesnt handle great right enough :ROFLMAO:
Bit more work today!, Those who have probably seen my other post in the suspension section... I tried to do a suspension refresh on it, as I've done with all my other 172s - Ive already got a brand new set of rear 172 cup ones for it that i ordered a few years ago and never got round to fitting...
I have emailed them to check but I'm not sure if Kam do the same as some other places where they list them then place the order with the dealer once an order is placed.
Went to do a suspension refresh on my PH1, as I've done many times on previous cars and have come up against a brick wall that i didn't expect!.
Ive already got a pair of rear 172 cup dampers that i ordered last year, Noticed the genuine front 172 cup dampers were out of stock at RPD, checked...
ive had 3 tuned ones now, all running around 160lb/ft - one had a slipping the clutch the other 2 didnt, so i think its safe to say if the clutch is in good condition they are fine around that torque figure. not sure about going any further.
Awesome as always, im a big fan of the black plastic spoiler, especially after a coating with some trim restorer! even though colour coding was all the rage many moons ago!

a 66 plate will likely be Medianav Evolution V1, you could get a V2 unit and that would give you android auto if you need to replace it
Seen it happen when they develop a fault, check the power as said above to make sure it's not a loose connection. Second hand units are cheap if required.
Could try flashing the latest software onto it and see if it cures it
This has been sitting in the garage for the last 3 years, Recently changed jobs and got much more free time so decided make a start on it again. Planning to have it ready for CSF 25.
Paint work is still great, just needs a detail and a headlight polish which ill do once the better weather comes...
I had a 220 trophy as a daily driver when i was doing a bit of milage with work, it was night and day compared to the mk3 200 it replaced, nicer place to be, much faster, especially day to day, i actually thought it stopped better than the 200 with brembos too!, handled brilliant - overall it...
shocks will be well past their service life at 100k, grams+ new gen shocks sounds like a good move, i run grams plus cup shocks on my 182 and really like the setup
Looking at pictures the K7M looks like the manual version was available with a Jb3 box, so if the auto uses the same bottom end which i assume they do, then i believe your current box would bolt to an F4R, the F4R and K7M have the same gearbox mounting pattern i believe?
from memory 205/45/16 was the factory 182 size where the 172 definitely used 195/45/16 but possibly it was 195 on the 182 and 205 on the cup pack cars?!
Michelin PS3 is my choice for a road car in that size
I wouldn't be worried by it, just make sure your happy with the condition as you would any car, My ph1 172 Exclusive disappeared for 8 years and only done 8 miles, and ive now had it tucked away for 3 years, its not unusual for hot hatches or older cars to get tucked away for a few years as they...
Best sounding exhaust (for my old ears!) that i ever had was on my BG 182, i got the K-Tec centre line as i was fed up of the standard mounts sagging (and the powerflow that it came with was deafening, Think about a car with 4 destroyed wheel bearings and your half way there)
It came with its...
it holds the bite point when sitting in traffic so as soon as you start peeling off the pedal it crawls instantly, makes for very nice driving but not so good for clutch wear, infact even at say the McDonalds drive thru, if your sitting on the brakes, stop start has cut the engine and you lift...
