Renault don't make them obviously, but yes they continue to make parts years after production ends,
I've only seen a couple of snapped belts on Renaults but most are failures as you've stated above, but none of those would be saved by a 1month old belt rather than a 5 year old belt kit

We had the JC5 106 and 091 here in the mk1 Megane 2.0 16v, not sure about other countries.

Bearings don't like being sat idle for long periods and I've seen plenty of genuine Renault timing belt kits with seal failure on the bearing as early as 18 months after replacement
I'd be running a 172 cup set up on track is possible, takes the shitty auto tensioner out of the equation
just to add I would do the timing belt every other year if it spends time sat idle for months through winter
Different rollers give different results your set up would show 200 at EFI,
RS Tunings rollers are perhaps a little stingey but a piece of paper saying 200+hp will maybe make you feel better but isn't going to make the car quicker.
