Bingo, you've probably missed one! (not taking the piss, ive been there!)
I'm sure there's one down the back of the gearbox somewhere that i missed in between the ABS block and starter motor area.
Does the fan come on when you test it with the Autel/turn the AC on? or is it just not kicking in...
If I remember right the section that covers the tank is the same on a non RS as it is on the RS so be plenty at a breakers.
The front and rear sections are the corrugated looking parts that were RS specific, but the tank section is the smooth bit with no pressed pattern in it
Autel shows the alternator appears to be working, worth checking it on a multimeter to see if it's erratic.
Check the earth points make sure the main earth are clean and in good condition
How olds the battery? Mk3s weren't as fussy as a MK4 with battery condition but if it's on its way out...
Paypal always side with the buyer in these cases so assume he's been burned before.
if i was him id also be getting red flags with someone trying to buy something and have it posted to a country where the car wasn't ever available?
bummer, was hoping a dodgy coil was the culprit! I've never known a crank sensor to cause one to idle high, just randomly cut out or struggle to start, possibly worth a go since they are cheap!
thats the thermostat opened and all the coolant has then went down into the air filled radiator. you will need to top it up again.
obviously you will need to find out where the coolant went originally for it to be empty! assume a radiator or hose leak etc
they wont turn the lights on, just point out to them when you drop it for its retest that you have polished the lenses and they will remove the advisory, ive done that with various garage and the always have a look and think "oh so he has" and then remove advisory
you can get little pumps on eBay for pumping liquid, I've used one of them before. My mate told me i probably shouldn't wet vac a fuel tank but I've not died yet...
Nope there is a metal spacer that sides down the middle of the big rubber doughnut, the small 13mm nut then tightens down against it which holds it all together then that big top hat goes on once on the car
found this online which shows it...
Ironically it still has MOT on it! but only a month or so, ill stick it for a test once ive given it a once over. There's a wheel bearing in the boot so assume it needs at least one of those :ROFLMAO:
It has the usual ph3 peeling heating control panel, so ive got one on route from spain from...
Gave the insides a shampoo as it was horrid.
and a detar, clay and quick run over with the machine polisher..
Found a refurbished ph2 gear knob insert (gear pattern indented rather than printed on the ph3)
Its an AC car, although some ersehole has removed the condenser and snipped an AC...
A quick tidy up project, "Ill make an easy £500 on that"......... "I like that wee car i might run it for a wee while" - Usual story for me, been here before!....
Anyway, seen a 2005 Clio 1.2 16v Extreme 4 listed on eBay, Starting at £100, Pics were rubbish, description was rubbish. - But it...
I think in days gone by you paid a web designer to build a website as it wasn't something you could easily do yourself without learning to write the code etc, but in the example above we were paying someone to use the tools designed to make it easy for the end user to actually build it...
When i was helping my mate find a solution for his business website a few years ago, we got quotes from 4 or 5 local "web designer/social media support" businesses who seemed to be doing everyone's website locally, all 5 of them were building the website using online tools and were basically...
Pad sticking in the caliper then freeing off when enough pressure is applied?
Id strip the front calipers, clean up and grease the sliders and make sure the pads aren't too tight in the caliper
I've found whenever i break a torx bit they swap them out with the solid ones rather than the security ones with the hole in the middle, seem much stronger
strange one that, could be gearbox related when the load is removed from it but also could be wheel bearing related for the same reason. What happens when you do the same thing, lift off the power but then rock the steering left to right?
