More info required, on that engine I'd be looking at plugs, coilpack, injectors and upstream lambda. Most likely one of those but diagnose it first don't just fire up the parts cannon

If the outside of the disc is ok it's probably the inner pads seized in the carrier as the piston and sliders appear to be moving and pulling the outer pad into the disc

Why would anyone remove the rear seats then fit a wooden structure in the rear? Surely the whole point of removing the rear seats is to loose excess weight? Unless I'm missing something

I've never seen under one but the k4m used a jb3 and f4r a jc5 and both were interchangeable with each other. I don't know what box the trekka uses given the 4wd but I would put bets on the f4r bolting straight to it. I'm sure the scenic rx4 was available with an f4r or maybe it was an f7r, and...

as above a genuine timing and aux belt kit from RPD, I done the dephaser on mine due to the car having limited service history but they don't seem to be an issue as they are on the 172/182. RPD also sell the genuine locking tool kit which is a must, and also following the Renault workshop...

Halfords sell a cheap laser clutch alignment tool that does the job perfectly. The genuine Renault clutch kit comes with a tool

I can't see how the clutch would make it jump out of gear. I'd be checking the box oil level although sounds like it's too late if this is the case

Shouldn't be the dogbone as it's a cable linkage as opposed to a solid linkage. Usually they jump out of 5th when the gearbox oil is low.

i done some a few months back, no special tools required but it does need the rear beam removed from the car

Have a look back to the threads from 2004-2008, there was loads of us on here had them and used to mod them, people used to take them to the drag strip and compete against each other lol
