ah the ktec/raceland fiasco. Theres a massive thread on it somewhere, and a bit more to it than just selling stuff on. I got some for £160 delivered. 18 months on i've not had a single problem with them. Best £160 i've ever spent.

Every single panel on my car looks a different colour in certain light. Its just one of those colours.

i had to use a chain tool as mine wouldn't budge trying by hand.

Has anyone done this? can standard side mounts be modified to fit the original runners? I beleive JMS did but i've not heard back from them.

They should fit with the right spiggot rings.

As i was adjusting my coilovers the over day, the shock unscrewed itself from the top mount. No problem, i put it back in, but i notice that the threaded bit of the shock fitted flush with the threaded bit of the top mount. Is this right or should there be a nut on the top?

£1500 for a standard cat d 172 seems well over the top to me. You could probably have got a similar car that wasn't a write off for the same price. However, its not a great deal of money so i wouldn't worry about it.

That looks a bit strange - heres my racelands.

I wound my coilovers down yesterday and ever since the steering seems to have gone really light with a fair amount of movement on the steering wheel. My tyres are nearing the end of their life, the edges are fairly worn which i guess won't help. What else would cause this and what can i check...
