Nope, got it cheap (ish), then thought of a better way of doing it before cutting it up then sold it at profit.... So meh.... Lol

do you have an idea on the diffuser cost? i would be reluctant to put a load of money into something only to chop it up to make it fit...

yep blanking plates for the front bulkhead, the welder is a "proper" mig unit, i didn't get any practice on anything first and that may be a big problem, saturday i was doing alright on the right side blank plate but on the left side today it was a proper pain and ended up a mess... just started...

some good advice there... but i think i will leave it for him on this occasion and get some practice on something that is maybe not so cost-worthy and important...

UPDATE: well kind of, I visited the car again today with the thought of welding all the plates in the bulk head..... but now i am home... and a little grumpy. I did start to weld this morning but it soon became apparent that i was massively struggling. I have been re-assured by several people...

Painting it myself is an option as its my mates bodyshop, would be under supervsion though, as for the welding i don't care how bad it looks initially, it will all be getting ground back before paint.... Its all good practice. I really need to get the blue book printed off though to get an idea...

Know what you mean, i think they do look slightly better, but not £100+ better, i do think the ph2 bumper is better looking but i refuse to do the mod under principle.... Lol Good work on it all though, fair play for doing it all yourself

So it sounds like we are building our cars for exactly the same purpose then, have you looked at classes etc? Ie are you building it to a certain class spec? Interesting about the switches etc, i was going to leave this stuff to matt when it went to tdf for the loom/dash stuff

his first video i have properly watched, good vid, and great insight into that world... got to love the Tuthill stuff, he (chris harris) is building a rally car with an acquaintance of mine to compete in i think, unsure as to what etc but sounds like fun, they plan to switch drive/co-drive...

i didn't own it, there was a period where i was without a car, tucks had DUF stored and was thinking of selling it, he let me borrow and use it in exchange for cleaning it up and sorting it out a bit....

I doubt it was tucks, he hasn't had it for a fair while and rarely used it for town runs when he did...

Lol.... Revs, tom and i both had minter valvers YOJ and SDV, Although i did run DUF for a little while too Brilliant isn't it...
