i have entertained this thought before, but always persevered, but now i seem to be at this point and unsure what to do...
i thought i would open it up to the masses for an opinion, i know at the end of the day its my decision but getting others people views sometimes helps...
so i have had my...
so was there an actual engineer involved anywhere?
pretty sure i read in a previous post that you just "drilled some holes in the non-structural panels"...lol
thats ok i haven't started cutting anything,
i was more concerned about a rule in the blue book, i interpreted it to say that no holes could be cut inside the wheel base...
hey chaps,
i did briefly mention this to tony but wanted to double check,
is this how the shell still is? ie the holes?... and you have had no problems with regards to the bluebook?
if your after a part number mate i apologise i cannot help as i got the bracket from a scrap yard - renault laguna iirc
ordered some more air intake trumpets yesterday for the brake ducting, larger so they will sit alot better in the fog holes and also allow more air, obviously

Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
good result mate,
sounds like you did have a good weekend,
no worries on the text, as said didn't expect a reply
sounds like a big credit to jay and tony too for supporting everyone else, thats very kind of them
good work on your first weekend,
shame to hear about your damage (thats is the sole reason i don't want to circuit race - because of the potential for others to damage your car), however £40 for a new sideskirt and door is spot on.....
meh, there has been loads of progress..... it would all be finished next weekend if i didn't have a wedding to go to...lol
i have noticed everyone seems to have a tiny (skinny) lower alternator bracket compared to me.....
lol...how long does it bloody take?...lol
i mentioned wrapping or coating it in another thread, but was told it really isn't worth it as the temps these get up too won't cause any problems / therefore there are no benefits
thats fully worked over with brake cleaner twice....
end cover was...
UPDATE: managed to go out and do some more work on the engine today, first up was to remove the aux bits (as discussed), all stripped off pretty quickly and sorted as to what needs painting, whats disappearing and whats staying, my "TO PAINT" pile is growing
so then back to cleaning, i...
I do appreciate your concern for my well being but i need to buff up a bit more anyways, bye bye PAS,
I was talking it over with daniel and i will probably be fitting a loop system to the rack like crispy i think)
I will going fishing for it, got a few hours lol
Re: 172 in a mk1, Superfastdan's very very long project....
