I've only seen the Renault promo pics but the interior looks a whole lot better than the standard 200....
I can't decide if I like the wheels or not, but the stripes look crap.
Lol, yeah no worries mate. The retail price of Ti is mental, but it's so nice to work with and looks beautiful :) so everything that's going in mine will be titanium.
I'll definitely make up an aluminium one as well. It's still very nice quality Aluminium, aerospace grade, not tacky crap.
Having had my new car it's getting a bit dirty... I don't any cleaning products whatsoever so I want to get a bit of a collection going.
Could someone please knock me up a quick list of things I'll need and the best ones to buy? I'm not stupidly keen so I dont want to spend hundreds of pounds...
The groups are a complete waste of time.... When I was looking around a few months back at what car to buy, cars in the same group differed by £400 sometimes. When cars two groups higher would be cheaper than the lower insurance group car.
I'm convinced that they just guess.
I'd just have a look through the people's project threads? There's loads of inspiration on there, lots of different cars, lots of different approaches.
I'm at my day job tomorrow and Tuesday, so I'll crack on with it on wednesday and drop you a PM mate. I'll be fabricating mine out of Titanium, but it's massively expensive, I'll try and get an aluminium one knocked up too so you can have a look.
Re: My New 2005 Liquid Yellow Clio 182
Looks WONDERFUL..... Liquid yellow is the best colour that has ever been offered on any car.
As said, cup packs on the 182 are pretty pointless if you're changing suspension anyway. Only a splitter and a spoiler, both of which you can buy if you really...
I'm designing one of these for my car as we speak :) Head and shoulders above a top mounted one.
If I can design and fabricate a faesible design, they'll be up for sale so let me know if you seriously want one and I'll send you pictures of the finished product.
They're not amps mate, they're crossovers. They seperate the high frequencies from the low frequences and send them to the tweeter and the woofer respectively.
You'll never ever get good sound quality out of component speakers without amping them. Head unit power isn't even close to what it...
I have the stealth, and it sounds lovely. But I would definitely go for the Recessed if I was going to spend my own money on it. With the Carbon surround that they offer too :)
So I got my first proper upgrades for my car today....
Just bought a pair of Mintex front disks and Ferodo DS2500 pads on ebay. Got them for a steal so pleased with that!
Also bought a pair of new rear shocks for the cup as I noticed the car feels 'bouncy' (for want of a better word). I'm...
awesome, I'll pay for my membership on Thursday (yes I am that poor before payday). Then I can at least have a look on the meets forum section.
Should organise a local meet though.
It's not worth it for 36kg.... Buy the 200 with cup packs (gotta have the red calipers), then buy some super light buckets and you've virtually made the weight back. Not like the 172 where the cup is ~85kg lighter, that's a difference worth having.
This belong to anyone? I was very close to buying this car from the garage round the corner a couple of months back, obviously someone else has it now!
I don't think there's anything that's more fit for purpose than 1*2 Clio. I wouldn't bother getting a trophy... Worth just getting the Sachs, or some coilovers.
I'm pretty certain my rear shocks are fucked... Pretty pissed tbh as I only bought the car a week ago and it wasn't mentioned. But there we go, where's the best place for me to get rear shocks from and how much are they going to cost me? It's for a 172 cup.
