I've got PE2's on the front of my cup, seem pretty good.... I haven't got a comparison though as i've only just got the car.
I've got V12's on my Brabus Roadster and they're awesome.
I wouldn't imagine so.... As said, the 172 cup actually has some performance advantages over the FF, whereas the newer 'cup attempts' don't. The only real reason I can see for buying a 182, 197, 200 cup is the $$$ saving, which realistically, if you're buying a brand new car, is less than you...
The weight seems to be different everywhere.... I read the other day (cant remember where, magazine websitre i think) that the 172 cup is 985kg... I'm pretty sure it's not that light. The most comment figure i've seen is 85 kg's weight saving over the FF.
And I'm not sure that Renault could...
IMO, the simple engine mods that people have mentioned enhance the road driving a lot.... Although they don't give huge outright HP gains, (maybe 15hp) they give you a lot more accessible power, more mid range and a smoother torque curve. As said though, by far the greatest benefits to be had...
Fabricated my strut brace now :) Made an aluminium one first off, just because it's less expensive if the design doesn't work out perfectly first time. But the difference it's made to the handling is amazing now it's bolted in.
Took some pictures whilst I was checking the fitting, excuse my...
It will use a lot of battery power yes, but it's common with car audio people to put a second battery in the car. It's not a hugely difficult job, and pretty common. Best place to ask for advice on this is talkaudio.co.uk
Fair enough. I didn't intend to annoy anyone!
There's just a whole lot of people who want a 1*2 who want to have the odd stab with their right foot in a straight line and nothing much more.
So realistically, you have to drive a trophy and then decide for yourself.
Ok, maybe pointless was a bit extreme, but is it worth having the adjustability etc. For a road car? Unless you're a particularly fast road driver?
182 with cup packs gives a lot more flexibility with colours, extras etc etc.
Depends what he wants. I just figured, if he's not at all interested...
It's really very straight forward.
With regards to brands, it depends what you want to with the car.
Brembo HC disks combined with ferodo ds2500 pads is the most common pairing.
The roof scoops on the race cars are AWFUL. There is some good racing, but I also see a lot of very amateur mistakes in Clio cup. TBF, i suppose a lot of the drivers in the series are new drivers.
I got stopped at a police checkpoint thing in my local town, routine stops for drink driving, they didn't mention my 3/4 plate at all.... They wouldn't see the front plate generally, unless they're loking for it.
Not only is that not true.... But i defy you to find a car with 300hp that will do 195. lol. What a moron.
I got told by a guy at the honda dealership, when taking a CTR out for a test drive, that I should be careful when driving it as the turbo will kick in a 5,500 rpm..... Righto.
I read a review of loads of induction kits somewhere (Can't rmember where it was?) but it quite clearly showed that virtually every induction kit on the market reduces HP and Torque.
The standard airbox on the cup is very good, just buy a new panel filter.
Spend your £150 buying a K-tec...
LOL. That is a seriously lengthy post for a pretty simple procedure. But At least you put the effort in.... Will be useful when you get onto writing techy posts later in your CS life :)
Welcome mate.
I'm not really sure what to suggest then mate, such an unusual problem. I've never seen anything like this before.... Your best bet is probably to call a Renault specialist.
Just a quick update for everyone that was interested in one of these...
I've designed the pedal today, got a full CAD design done. Just waiting on the materials that I need to produce them and I'll start on making it, should hopefully be tomorrow morning.
I'll post some pictures of the progress.
Have you got HID's???? Everyone knows they make your car go faster.
In terms of a serious answer,I'm afraid I have no idea as I've only had my clio a week. Use the search function, you're probably not the only person to have asked this.
I think he meant a 195/45 compared to a 205/45 and a 195/50 compared to a 205/50???? I hope that's the case anyway. I think it was just badly worded.
But back to the point in hand, the conti sports are great tyres. But I wouldn't go up a size like, it's not uncommon for changing tyre sizes to...
It's faster than my Clio, in a straight line. Something I call monkey driving. :)
And a more constructive comment, welcome mate! Car looks tidy, definitely treat it to some lowering :)
