I have 421's in mine but it's not a daily drive.
The 421's are lumpy on idle which I quite like, they also don't like low revs like 1700 rpm and below.
However they love to be revved and they pull very well from low down all the way to 7.5k.
Yeah get the auxiliary belt off, get the bottom alternator bolt straight and tight.
Fit new top nut and bolt to the alternator and then fit a new auxiliary belt.
How old is the auxiliary tensioner?
Might be worth fitting a new kit (belt, tensioner and lower pulley)
Yes it will be mate.
No problem, once its all fixed then make sure that you use you AC once a week or so. It stops the seals from drying out and keeps everything working.
If the system was empty then that's the reason why.
You shouldn't just let the gas out, the AC company will vacuum it out and recover the gas.
Yes once the part that's leaking is fixed then it will need to be done again.
You will have to get the system de gassed, Renault sell the AC O rings in a pack for about £20.
If not then i don't think you can buy the dryer on its own so a new AC rad will be needed. Euro car parts sell them for £100 ish.
You will need to get the system vac and re gassed at about £50...
