No. The ring supports the weight of the car rather than relying on the bolts. If all 4 bolts are done up tight then the wheel is square.

Steve, go to John @ JP Polishing. I took my spare 6 OZ F1s to him the other week, (not got them back yet) the wheels i looked at before giving him mine where spot on. His not the fastest but the quality is perfect.
