Surprised the sideskirts havent been mentioned. Majority are still rivetted on, drill the rivets out and inspect the rear portion, and around the jacking points. Mine appeared ok on the inside but was going outside and perforated in some areas.
Thread aside, do you have an itinery or anything for this? Exactly what I want to do in the MR2 this year (@dann2707 @Panda. @Coops Mk1 @jameswrx ????)
Pictures are great btw. I reckon the E92 is probably the best all rounder there?
Looks like the videos are still there, just private. Maybe hes sorting all the playlists out or something.
Other than DDC2 (Mr2 Mk3 ftw), I tend to watch Furious Driving quite a bit, just a quirky bloke fixing old cars up to keep them on the road, no frills. Road and Race is quite decent as...
Where the rear inner arches meet the outer panel, if the underseals been punctured by a stone, water can creep under between the seam, visible from the inside of the car once rear side carpet in the boot is removed.
Wow, love these, I had a Mk1 55SX in the same colour as my first car! They used to be all over the place and as somebody said above, seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth these days! Scrappage scheme got a load I bet.
@dann2707 I can remember you getting slated on Fiat Forum back...
Good lighting, maybe some wireless CCTV (I have Ring Spotlight cams) are good deterrants. I personally wouldnt have a window, I would rather beef the door up.
Is it a timber door? You can put rack bolts top and bottom to add a little extra security, and metal plates as you have done to stop a...
I wouldnt get mega hung up on brushless/none brushless. It isnt a difficult or expensive job (most of the time!) to swap the brushes over. Ive had brushed drills that have had some right hammer and have been fine. If the price is right I wouldnt worry.
Majority of my power tools are Makita LXT. Keep an eye out on Amazon Prime for batteries coming up cheap, got a few 3.0ah for £17 each. Ive got the biggest ugga dugga they do with some 5ah batteries, which is more than enough for most jobs. Ive got Milwaukee ratchet and stubby impact, purely...
Im trying to convince the wife that a garage rebuild is necessary for our current extension
I saw these being demonstrated at Autosport a couple of years ago. They seem nice bits of kit.
Cat6/or 5e, if you can route it easily, is nice to have. You can use pairs of Cat6 to form HDMI for example, its also great for taking the load of your wireless if you can have devices hard-wired for streaming etc.
That being said you can use Powerline for this if you really wanted to.
Usually genuine guys who get in too deep and then service suffers, dramatically. Extra points when they have been admins friends and it takes even longer to come to a head.
Love these. Converted one with my Dad a few years ago. The rear passenger fog light housing is empty, and removes easily, you can use this to route a commando socket into for power hookup without an ugly socket on the side somewhere.
I know the feeling @GrahamS , I remember chatting to you on Messenger when I broke my 172, life gets in the way and especially when you own a property other things take priority.
I have had a lot more fun with the £1k MR2, relatively standard and just general upkeep rather than the worry of...
@mr bognor what you reckon to the door stabilisers? Im after a set. Ive just fitted a hardtop to mine (mainly for winter but its on at the moment), makes a great difference to the handling I think!
@Djw John how is it on longer trips? My alfas a 1.4 petrol turbo with similar power and on long motorway runs can get a bit tiresome. These do tick all the boxes for me next as a dependable, practical 'daily'.
Also is the estate actually worth the extra space? I know some estates end up not...
I used to go to loads of meets when I was younger, most of my closest mates now I can trace back to a meet, even my now wife was a friend of a mates girlfriend I met at a car show.
It still happens, young lads at work who are into cars still do the odd meet and that, I think just as you get...
