Nope. Me and a mate changed the rear beam bushes on mine recently. The worst bits were the brake lines, as the unions tend to turn to cheese. A proper set of brake flared spanners would've been ideal!
Re: the nuts holding the beam to the chassis. The tops of the bolts are inside the car and can spin. If they do, you'll need a mate with a pair of mole grips to hold them from inside the car.
Plenty of penetration fluid on them beforehand as well.
@RyG I'm looking at a snap-off boss (purely because I've found it a bit of a squeeze getting my delicious derriere into the bucket seat with the wheel on).
Snap-off boss' include: Sparco, Lifeline, B&G, Moto Corsa (the last 3 can be picked up from Demon Tweeks, etc).
Driftworks have a nice one...
You're probably right. It wasn't difficult to put he new bolt in. Just a bit fiddly.
Should be easier though only having to bolt up one end this time though!
Found it. It's the pinch bolt (I couldn't find) for the steering rack to connect to the column.
Reckon I need to use his or will the stainless but and bolt I fitted suffice?
Holy thread bump Batman!
But I am missing the top brackets for my rad. I'm running without A/C (but the car had it originally). Which brackets do I need?
So, I might be dreaming here, but as I was taking the dash frame out tonight, I spotted something on the loom...
So this is the ECU controller for the EPAS column. I managed to find the 2 plugs and bit of wire the other week up the scrappies...
So I take the frame out, and spot a bit of loom...
Not thought that far ahead, but it's only about an hour for me to get to those services. I met @Typhoon there last year, and we overtook @Cub. 's slow pink car on the way up the A46...
Easter Monday...
I woke up with a whole day free to myself, which was to be spent down in the garage. Little did I know what would be in store for the day!
In the morning I got a couple of jobs done. Firstly, fitted the fuel tank breather now the carbon cannister is gone.
Then got the heat...
So this weekend the boys came round for a last minute, mini meet. Saturday was a bit of a wash out, and with @Bear Head getting his Brembo's fitted, and @RyG swapping his dash out, it was done to @Steven103 and me to crack on with the car (mostly Steven!).
In the days before the weekend I had...
I was under the impression that the bluing is just the oils coming out of the tyre when they get hot. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but they shouldn't be binned for the discolouration.
