Check for dents down the side of the bodywork . Also on the bonnet where they sometimes get pushed down to lock it and dent very easily .Check the whole exhaust system , they rust and drop to bits after only a couple of years . Also condition of the brake discs and pads .Any lights on the dash .

I looked at the cossack grey the other day . It is very very close but there are quite a few that are " close " lol . None are 100% perfect , but if you were doing all 4 wheels it wouldn't matter , if they were used just as a touch up you'd probably see the difference whatever paint you use ...

Rover storm grey is what i used to refurb a spare , stone grey is a near match also but not none are a 100% perfect match . I think it was fubar who said Peugeot cossack grey is a good match . A pic of the alloy i refurbed in this thread , using storm grey ...

Its 205-110 , ixell paint . If your after a touch up pen or aerosol your out of luck . They don't make one .

I'd use white spirit as gloss paint is oil based and takes a fair while to completely go off .

Black gold dash inserts . Black gold badges ( 2.0 16v i assume you mean ) with the lettering left silver .

Had a 172 , loved it . Got the 182 cos it was newer and for the looks , twin exhaust and anthracite alloys :)

Autoglym interior shampoo should sort it . Failing the Meguiars all purpose cleaner should shift it .

The k+n apollos are crap . I had one on my 182 , it lost power so i flogged it on ebay .

The turtle wax " wax it wet " won't affect the p21's or srp and egp mate . I used to use it on my iceberg 172 and looks wise it always comes up good . Give it a try , i'll bet your surprised :) Don't be put off by the price , its alot cheaper than the Duragloss Aquawax and does exactly the same...

Collinite 845 and 476 are both very durable and very easy to apply / remove . My choice is still the xxx hardcore past wax . If you wax at least once a month with any wax durablity shouldn't be an issue tbh . I tend to use a different wax each time and build up the layers . I like the Pinnacle...

You can't get chrome paint , well not paint that is available to the general public anyway . Its more of a silver colour , plastikote make one but when you apply the sealer it goes grey . You might see adverts saying its " chrome " but you'll never get the finish of true chrome plating .

My dvd player plays avi's , but i prefer to convert them to dvd . Use Winavi video converter . Best and fastest there is .

When i eventually get round to doing mine . I'll spray the whole badge then use a fine paint brush to do the 2.0 16v then lacquer over the top .

I haven't done my badges yet , keep planning to but never get round to it . From what i've read on here , you need a steady hand if your painting the 2.0 16v a different colour . Nah i wont be goin to fcs .

Some people seem to have more problems than others . Depends if you get a so called " friday afternoon " car .

Its ixell paint 205-110 and you can't buy it in aerosols or touch up pens .Even Renault can't get it for you .

Like middo says . the stonechip lipstick thing is crap as well . Its like a hard wax that's supposed to fill the chip .

I had a 306 S16 , and tbh i think it was a much nicer car to drive than my 182 . As said better seating position , steering wheel position and handled better than the 182 imo . It was only slightly slower , 155bhp for a car that would be 13 years old now is pretty good i reckon . Like...
