it has 100bhp as standard so all you need to do is add fuel to get that sort of power, your injectors limit you before you go anywhere, some run 120bhp+ on standard injectors but I wouldn't!, set of 172 injectors, intercooler and exhaust and your fuel system and turbo are limiting you to about...
your the opposite way around mate, the turbo charged 1.2 when modified has the same or more torque than a 2.0 petrol and it all comes from 2000rpm so really you just keep it around 2000-5000rpm and it will make easy progress, where the 1.6 is a revvy little engine like the 2.0 but with less...
depends what twingo engine your talking about? 1.6 as mick says id rather go 2.0
but if your talking about the 1.2 turbo then its not been done as far as I know but should be easy
Diesels ruin you, once you've been black you never go back as they say. fast cars mpg make me sick, when it didn't bother me in the slightest before I had tried a DCI!
once they have injectors and a map they properly take off at 2000rpm like an old skool turbo car! I love them!
bit mild in standard form but a nice balance of low down grunt and quite revvy
That's not going to cause vibration though as its not rotational. Knocking and grinding yes!
The rings are needed to centre the wheel properly. Saves you a load of time gradually doing opposite bolts a bit at a time and even at that your not guaranteed a perfect centre wheel due to...
Apparently there is 52mm spacing cars but i think it must be the 8v 1.2s with the non vented discs as I've never seen a 52mm car in over 50/60 mk2 ph2s!!
Never heard of that suspension before could be worth a gamble
I just got a pair of front Twingo 1.2 struts from eBay cheap of a car that was being broken with less than 5k miles they looked brand new with the revised top mounts etc!
Car drives like new with them on while giving superb ride quality given it's a daily! I previously had apex -60mm springs...
That was westy I'm sure his name was. The ktec mapped one that blew up lol!!
I had 140 odd bhp and 150 odd lbft from my rd tuning mapped one and it was a proper quick little car
The boxes are fine they just don't stand up to people with no mechanical sympathy as well as others, worst case if its on its way out have it rebuilt and look after it and you will never have any issues again. You never hear of issues with the same box in the dci 106 as they are not thrashed...
86/88 feels quicker around town due to better low down grunt under 2000rpm. 106 pulls much better over 2000rpm and have the much better 6 speed box.
I found the 106 was the same on fuel when driven lightly as the less power models, both driven hard the 106 gave a few mpg less. I was hard on...
I had my old mapped 100 round knockhill and it was passing all the saxo vts, 106gti and red top corsas lol!!
Gearing doesn't matter when your concentrating on carrying max chat round all the bends haha i just went from 3rd to 4th all day!
Although the dci has little power and i enjoy...
