thats exactly wot i said to him! he had sum problems wiv his car cuttin, so he took it to renault and he says they put a program on the ecu that would automatically rev the engine slightly wen it was gonna cut. i think renault hav been fillin his head wiv crap
its not just the size of the wheel, its also the size of the tyre u put on the wheel, for instance, my car has 185/60/13s and hav just got sum 14s to put on, if i put 185/55/14s on then the outer diameter of the two different wheels are almost identical so wont effect performance. they are...
my m8 says that if he takes the battery off on his mk3 clio then the ecu will lose all its programin and the car wont start and it will need goin back to renault, i think it sounds a bit stupid but is he right?
 i actually brought the said items about a year ago, thing is, these werent just red or blue, they actually flashed from red to blue!!! wot was i thinkin, thank god i blew them up wen i wired them straight to a battery without the little control box otherwise i might hav been drivin around...
i got the GT3-12 runnin of the SPLx450. dont sound bad but it dont sound brill either, think the sub needs a bit more power than the SPLx amp can provide
there is an interface available for sony HU that does both the stalk and the display at the top, and IIRC dont u have to take the dash off for the pioneer adapter?? u dont have to for the sony one, just plugs into the CD changer input and the remote input on the back of the HU.
i want to know bout this too, the lead comin from the headunit is orange. do u connect this to the positive supply of a light that comes on wiv the headlights?
yeah m8, just try touching the back wen its powered up, feels quite strange hehehe. i shrink wrapped mine and then just cut out sum holes for the plugs. i still cant believe how bright they are, i have one tube under the centre of my dash and it lights up both footwells, looks really good. dont...
if ur gonna get them cold cathode tubes then i would sudgest (how the hell do u spell that word??) getting sum heatshrink tubing and place the PSU inside it as i have now electricuted myself 3 times with it and it really hurts. will also stop it shortin on any metal aswell.
yeah, i ran it off the glove box light in mine. i just took the light out, chopped the wires off, found out which one was positive then connected it to the power supply for the tube.
search for WinISD from yahoo, download it and then input all the T/S parameters that came wiv ur sub into the program and it will work it all out for u.
hav u thought of tryin cold cathode tubes?? cos they are 4.99 for a 12" tube. i brought one for mine the other day and then i dropped it and it smashed into lots of little pieces. and then when i got another one i electricuted me self cos the power supply outputs 180-800volts, didnt half burn.
the idea of the pin is just to help u twist it off.
they do come off as i did it in my m8s clio the otherday and he now has kicker tweeters sitting in the hole as the kicker ones fit perfectly.
wot happens then if he wants to put the factory tweeters back in, if he sells the car and wants to keep his ice. best thing to do is to unscrew the tweeter grills as Ians says and unplug the tweeter, takes about 30 seconds.:)
