I'm planning on taking the Megane a run out round the Cairngorms area at the start of April all being well if the engine is safe and not needing a rebuild. Looking at April the 6th if anyone fancies it?

SWR are superb, Michael is very helpful last week when the Megane was in getting its gearbox mount done. It has been recovered back to them today though, Probably with the likelihood of needing an engine rebuild but that has nothing to do with any work they have done, Reasonable prices as well!

Nope out of warranty, car has now been recovered to SWR, hopefully have it back at the weekend

I own a RS250 cup and have driven a 200t, not a fan of the auto but if it was a manual I would take the Clio anyway, day to day the Clio will be quicker on the road, on track its a different story though

You will struggle big time to get any form of cover for TF days from UK insurers, the few that did have stopped doing it. There is a couple that still offer but good luck finding out who they are as it's all very hush hush

It's a completely new compound on them. Faster and last longer. I run the older AD08s on my 300+ Megane at the moment but will be getting some Rs next

Sounds about right tbh, remember brake wear is massively increased when your pads are hot. I have went through a set of Pagid RS29s, which are an endurance spec pad, on my megane in 3 trackdays including one at Spa and 5 Ring laps. RS250 brakes run HOT so next year I'm planning on getting some...
