It just seemed a different atmosphere when I was there compared to reading the reports of your series which is why I have discounted TDT for the moment. What you have described is exactly what i'm looking for, Yes I want to do as well as I can but I'm not going to do something crazy and I would...
Perfect, Yes I read up on the website about the membership last week and it all sounds very reasonable really! I think the 3 I would definitely do are Anglesey, Donington and Oulton with the possibilities of Silverstone and Cadwell depending on my workload :)
That is the impression I have got from reading all of the race related posts from both of you and that is what i'm looking for really and the sort of place I want to be :) Haha that would be an added bonus but I think you would get annoyed before long of me asking for help ;) Would CSCC mind if...
Firstly the power classes at the moment would make me not eligible as the car is going to be 220-230 BHP/Ton although I know this could be mapped to suit.
Other than that there is no real reason I just don't think it is the series I would want to enter in my first year of competition. I think...
Sounds great, I was on the CSCC website last week trying to work out what to do next season. Can't decide weather to do a trackday/ hillclimb season or jump straight into competition and do Tintops I have already excluded doing the TDT so now just need to make my mind up!
I'm afraid there is no feasible way of getting it into a mk2, the mk3 is much bigger inside and would need every bar modifying and every bend would be in the wrong place!
As Tony has said that is a very good price! I'm getting my 182 wrapped next week and its costing roughly £100 more than that! They also look like they do a really decent job from the pictures!
If you break it I am very interested in all the lightweight panels so please PM with a price if you go down this route. Other than that I would recommend for the cost of a box rebuild which will be circa £350-400 + labour to take it out and put back in I would just get it done and sell the car...
They don't list a 3 degree but i'm sure they could machine some up for you or you could put a 1 and 2 together http://www.pure-motorsport.co.uk/details.php?itemid=129
I always leave 30 mins after I have disconnected the battery to be on the safe side before removing the airbag, once thats done probably less than 5 minutes to swap over.
Try G172 on here who sells them and apparently has great customer service :)
Edit: Link for them :) http://www.cliosport.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?147-G-172
We have mounted mine on the bulkhead in the passenger footwell and while putting it in the back is good for weight distribution as mentioned above it also means you have got a very heavy cable stretching the length of the car. It's swings and roundabouts where you mount it really :(
I never really saw the need for them at all and always said no point and i'd never buy them but since driving a few cars with them I doubt I will go through a winter without them again, My daily is a BM auto so really not that great as standard then it has 9.5" rear wheels just to make thing...
I presume so but I am only saying what I have read from the manufacturer :) There would be no simple way to jump start anyway as they dont have traditional terminals on the top of the battery like wet batteries. I would just use a trickle charge on it which take less than 10 seconds to hook up...
I have read that you are not supposed to jump start these type of batteries so I would suggest to keep it on trickle charge/ disconnect when not in use. If you leave discharged it isn't good for them on a positive they are very quick to fully charge and only take 4-5 hours :)
I supposed you've probably checked Evo but is there no part number on the hub which when put into renaults part system would show up what hub it is and also what bearing is required?
Congratulations on the new car it looks very nice! I used to have an R27 myself and they are great cars! From my experience I would recommend if you are going to get it mapped then I would go to a renault specialist that have good experience with the cars. My R27 gained 11BHP at RS-Tuning in...
I'm not sure what car your talking about but on the mk2 clio I thought the UCH ran the control for the indicators such as speed of flash etc! Could be wrong though
