Daniel has hit the nail on the head! If not fitted properly they can be deadly and your better off without one but it sound like you should be fine ;) I have heard horror stories about how much modding is required for custom cages's but as with anything could just be rumours! I'm not sure about...
As said by a few other people I would try and get it fixed up and then either keep it or sell it! I would suggest going to a specialist who has decent experience with wiring in the clio's, depending on location I would give Matt at TDF/ Track group a call as he knows his way round the clio...
Looks awesome Mark you have done a great job of it all and NM look they have done a sweet job on the wiring with great attention to detail and so neat! Have you kept the UCH out of interest?
Edit: PS what is the dash top? Cut down ph1? :)
Sounds really good and sounds like it went really smooth for a first day. Pictures of the completed car would be great and would be good to see how you have done the switch panels :) When are you next planning on testing it? I bet your happy to see all your hard work finally come together and...
Hi I have got a set of silver 182 alloys that also come with four Michelin Pilot tyres with plenty of tread left. I am temporally living in Nottingham so could bring them down to Nottingham with me if you want them. PM if interested :)
I have got TD 1.2 for my set of wets and the ultraleggeras for slicks. The ultraleggeras were £589 inc vat for the set and the TD's were £378 inc vat so about £200 difference but I much prefer the OZ's
As Fletcher said go for a Bosch one they do different coloured ones and each colour represents how long they are guaranteed for. I would try your local tyre place though as halfords price seem's expensive. We have had about 8 different Bosch battery on various cars and the cheapest was £40 for a...
Yes I don't think the sidewall will be too much of an issue maybe a slightly harder ride but I don't know what affect the width would have. I would probably just stick with the original size. They were Dunlop Sport Maxx GT's :)
I was going to say I used to pay £100 a tyre for the Dunlops and paid the same for the conti's when they came out. I would really recommend the Dunlop's they got me everywhere I needed to be in the winter last year but that was with 4WD to help aswell! I just did a tyre size calculator for the...
The Conti 5's are great I had a set a few months ago on a car I've sold recently and they were a really good all round tyre :)! What size tyres do the Meg's run? I had 225/40 18's on the Golf and I found the Dunlop's to be really good tyres but I don't know too much about the Meg's!
Look's great Mark! I might be doing the shake down on my clio on the 19/20th aswell so may see you then! You got the DL1 mk2 or mk3? I can't make my mind up :s
Sounds really good I would have no idea where to start with trying to make that lol! I hope you get sorted out and please get the photo's up as i'm sure it'll look good and may inspire me to going down the same route :)
I originally wanted to but was told that they are good for strength and rigidity so left them in but it would of looked much better without them, but if it saves me a re-shell I will be happy lol. Yes haha large in general ;)
Jeeez that is mad and also it would be LHD wouldn't it?! I would give it a bash if I were you especially seeing as how good your headlights turned out ;)
It was sent to Rollcentre because they Homologate on site and could tailor the design to my requirements. I did this because all the other cages I had looked at had all the bracing in line with the b Pillar and this causes issues mainly with seats like the Taurus with head protection and means...
I can see them now :) I wanted to do something similar but I thought to get someone to make it would end up been very expensive so i'm just going to use the same method as the first picture and mount the controls at the side of the seat for now anyway. Iceman has done what you are thinking of...
Hi Kenny, seat looks great and good seat position :) I have done he same in mine but I have had to extend the gearlinkage and move it all back in the car are you planning to do the same or can you still reach it? Unfortunately there is a cross member in the floor so now mine is back its along...
Good stuff glad you've got it all sorted, I would of said if that was an insurance job it wouldn't of been far off a write off but i'm glad its not as it looks like a nice motor :) You are lucky you didn't hit it! I hit a baby dear a few years ago in a Caterham and it was amazing the damage that...
Sounds good mate but I can't see the pictures? May just be my computer! I'm running the standard 182 top dash mounted onto the cage and the cage fits perfectly through the tweeter holes and then just going to run all switch panels and controls down on the central tunnel. Get the photo's up if...
