So I thought I'd finally get myself another hobby, and this time I fancied taking my chances on amateur photography. It won't be anything legendary, just a chance for me to get out, take some snaps and have a play about with them.
I was after something better than my Fuji JZ300 to use for...
I love mine. About 53mpg in my Mk3 86. Like Piers, practical 5 door, pretty nippy too.
I dropped down from a 2.5 V6 Vectra to the Clio, and the Clio is just as quick bottom end, handles better and is much, much cheaper to run. More reliable so far too!
Sorry I didn't make this one either guys (Missed the first 3 meets - not good!). Wasn't well though.
Probably won't make January either, as I go on holiday for 2 weeks in January.
My Mk3 has developed a knocking noise, which seems to appear at slow speeds and in time with the rotation of the wheels.
I'm guessing this is the CV joint?
I've read and seen that it's common on the older clios, but does anyone know what I'm looking at for a Mk3?
Thanks.
Sorry I missed you guys. I had a last minute detour to my niece's dance recital!
Hopefully will be around next month - I was hoping you could buy me a birthday beer this time round. :D
Yup, stick with the 7th. As said in the member's thread, if you can't make this meet, there'll be others. Too much fannying about swapping dates to suit everyone, and it's taken 2 months of constant date swapping to get to this date.
Agreed. If no one else goes, we'll just go by ourselves for a pub lunch! :D
Venue-wise. I know the Kassam was mentioned.
I used to run a motorbike meet at the Red Lion in Kidlington too. Fairly big pub, sports TV's, pool tables inside. Parking isn't massive - probably space for about 20 cars?
Yup, which is why we could do with a regular monthly meet. Like you say, if we can't make it 1 month, we'll probably be there the next.
Let's stop fannying about and get a date set.
I vote for Sunday 7th October.
Daft question, but I cannot for the life of me get the front wiper blades off my clio. :clown:
Is it just a question of squeezing those clips together and the wiper blade should pop off, or am I missing something?
Like it's going out fashion! :D
I do like the fact you can check your oil level from your onboard computer when you get in and first turn on the ignition.
I assume you mean the 86bhp Mk3?
I've had mine nearly 8 weeks now and I love it. Economy is awesome. I drive pretty much under 2500rpm, and I'm getting 60mpg according to the onboard computer. Not sure how correct that is, but I'm on course for a 780 mile tank if the range is to be believed...
