Sad the 172 ended up like that as it was a great car :(
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the Megane though :D
Did you get my PM and email I sent during the week?
Cambelt needs changing every 5 years or 72k. If you haven't got record of it being changed I'd recommend you get it done asap.
Clutch can make a noise sometimes.
Idle can be lumpy but shouldn't get a feeling your seats being nudged. A remap helps as it lifts the revs at idle slightly making it...
Don't get how you can spin because the 172/182 doesn't just snap away from you it's quite controllable.
Only time I ever spun the 172 was at Silverstone in the wet pushing to hard on R888s.
Re: Iceberg 172 Cup Project
I thought they just removed it but might be wrong.
Brake ducts look good but it's overkill like having 4pots fitted ;)
My 172 never had any brake fade once I'd fitted Tarox G88 grooved discs, DS2500 pads, Goodridge lines and Castrol Super Response fluid.
4am f**k that, getting up at 8.15am is bad enough for me LOL
You could be home by 10pm though if you just came for the curry.
I'll add you to the list mate.
