Haven't cleaned the car for a while with all the rain and crappy weather but managed to get out and give it a good going over today while its dry. quick rinse and decontaminate to get rid of all the stubborn gritty bits and then onto washing. gave it a twice over with autoglym body shampoo then...

Update: wire snapped on alternator. Is putting out 14v so is still good. Hopefully have it fixed later on.

Yeah, I just had a read about a few who have attempted it. I think I might get one from renparts and see what I can get it fitted for.

yep I guess so. Ah well, its on 52k and original alternator so it was to be expected. Whats my options on buying one and getting it fitted? I have mechanics in the family so does this need to be a specialist job or not?
