common fault on all the clio 2 dci's, you struggle to find one thats not like that.
make sure you get a perfect seal if using a non genuine pipe at the bit that comes out the airbox as it makes the car very loud off throttle!
this, they didnt leave the factory s**t, so they can be put back to the way they were!
id be getting in tough with the guy on here (is it G172?) that sells brembo discs and pads cheap as chips, ive had a set on mine for a month now but not drove it to try it out yet lol
lol at people saying buy a stud extractor!
get the disc off its 2 bolts for the caliper and 1 or 2 for the disc!
what id be asking though is why did it snap, were you cross threading it? ir were you trying to remove it, if so, mole grips are possibly going to struggle!
ive done suspension on loads clios and on 2 of them one side wouldnt budge! one even with a buzz gun and we ended up resorting to an angle grinder on one of them lol
lol cant even remember that reply above must have been in a bad mood!
yeah no gains to be had really and they sound terrible with a filter on them, i tried it with a cone filter a few yrs ago, they make a loud groan off throttle!
you may find the clio bland looking compaired to the corsa (obviously this is all down to personal preference) however the corsa is EXTREMELY bland to drive, the clio on the other hand is a riot!
Mine going for it! still 1000rpm away from the raised limiter, would have needed a hill to get another 1mph out of it, the thing was flat out for about 5 minutes to get that lol!
my guess would be you have trapped a wire at the back of the headunit and shorted something out and blown a fuse. i had a look at one for a boy that was doing that before. sorted the broken wire, changed a fuse and it was sound!
fits straight in everythings the same, jobs much easier doing it the way your doing with a crash damaged car as basically your just re shelling the 172 straight over
clearly your not reading the advice your receiving.
as danny said it sounds like the gearbox main shaft seal is leaking onto the clutch, personally if im changing a slipping clutch the first thing im going to do when the box is off is have a look to see why its slipping, general wear and tear...
