Oh ok fair enough, i was told by Fred that they dont need replacing when i did my belt (it was 3 years ago) was going to but he said the water pumps on these engines go on for ever
It would be up to you and where its going to be fitted?
Id have the knob one if it was going to be fitted on the dash and the leaver one if it was being mounted on the floor
I have the new type of Spax RSX road kit.
I know they have had some bad PR on here, if they cause me problems ill end up replacing them with the KW ones.
I did my cam belt 3 years ago, it was the 2nd time the belt had been replaced and i didnt replace the dephaser.
The car had only done 39k though, its now on 47,500 and its still fine.
If i was to do it again (as im thinking about cams) i will deffo be replacing it though.
A cam belt kit is just the belt and rollers, then you have the aux belt kit and dephaser pulley which will cost extra.
Aux belt kit is around £75 from Renault and the dephaser is £150 ish
Renault do state that when replacing the cam belt kit the aux belt kit should also be replaced.
The...
The aux belt kit should be replaced but not always the dephaser tbh.
The cam belt kit is just that, belt, idlers and adjuster. the other stuff is extra but wont be anymore labour to fit (at the time of doing the cam belt)
Im ready for an up grade, was thinking about getting one of these but im also thinking about the new HTC one (i have a HTC incredible s)
Do you think its going to be worth the wait?
