Anything you can un-do it with as the plug should not be tight, you wind them in by hand after all and its only the nut/flange part that makes it tight.
Might even be able to turn it by the tip of you finger, bit by bit...
Or you can use a big flat headed screw driver and turn it as if you was un doing, this might also work.
The head of the screw driver might pick up of the sharp broken bits thats left of the thread.
Sometimes you are lucky as the thread is not tight in the sump.
I would get a drill bit in a drill and put it into reverse, this may turn the broken off bit out far enough so that you can grab hold of the thread and remove the broken bit.

My vans my own but it saves running up miles on the clio plus i would hate anything to happen to it just because i used it to get me to work.
I have used it about 4 times in the 3 years ive owned it but only on Fridays, i just end up sitting in traffic on the way home as i work in east london so...
Hmmm i used it on Sunday and went to the O2, so a little i guess but the rain just ran off the car so it was all dry when i got home.
Today is a different story, poor cars sat on the drive covered in bloody snow!!!
Thanks Tom, yes it was nice to meet you to mate.

Cheers all, Ants work is spot on and i can not wait for the car to go back into his hands for him to work his magic.
The roof and bonnet didn't come up to mine and Ants high standards with the time we had available on the day, so i will be re-booking the car in to have these panels wet sanded...
