    I was at the Pod on saturday it was a Mopar event, there was a mk1 escort with a cossy turbo running mid 10`s and some other stuff with V8s and twin turbos running 8`s. Then the Fire Force jet car came out and ran a mid 5 sec at 170 odd mph, now that was fast.....

    Anti clockwise to raise the ride height as its trying to compress the spring as the platform moves up wards and clockwise will lower the platform which will bring the spring down wards...

    The ph1 will be a future classic, its got the "hardcore" looks or you could even say "ugly" and will be the Renault 5 GT turbo of today but only original examples with low miles.     Got to say i am the nuts at making brake lines from the copper brake pipe on a roll, i use the Automec stuff with there fittings and the Sykes Pickavant flaring tool. I have been making them for over 10 years on Aston Martins and have never had one leak...

    Failing that if you get a 1/2 drive inpact socket that is just a little bit to small then hit it very hard it will force it on then you should be able to get them off.

    If after that you are still feeling flush then you could get the in let manifold "matched" this will realise a few bhp.

    He said its a "cup" so there is no air con, replacing the dephaser as well makes it a expensive job as that is another £140 and if there is a problem with it then it only rattles. I am just doing the belts on my ph1 and i am not changing mine but my car has only done 40k and had its oil changes...

    I have the same problem but as my car has not been raped by boy racers and and am i old git i like things how they were from new so i could not fit a after market head unit unless there is another Renault one that can be used with the stalk by the steering wheel..

    So is there a difference. Or is it a case of none OEM parts again..? You can not just buy the ball joint from Renault i wanted to replace mine on my ph1 172 they told me that it was new complete bottom arms at a cost of £60.00 each which i find funny as they are bolted on, you can not even buy...

    Is this Ph1 known here?

    Mine is a two owner car 1st owner had it for 5 years and did 12,000 in it, the last owner also had it for 5 years. When i bought it about 2 or so months ago its done 39,000 never been smoked in or looks like the back seat have even been sat in i gave £2700 for it on a X reg.
