Where is the best place to get a pair of clear side repeators for my ph1 172? I dont want them to look like cheap crap so i have not got a problem in spending good money Cheers :)

My bad should have been 270mph.....Tbh not all the 10 sec cars where doing that sort of speeds some must have been getting off the line alot better than others i guess.

Got to say i am the nuts at making brake lines from the copper brake pipe on a roll, i use the Automec stuff with there fittings and the Sykes Pickavant flaring tool. I have been making them for over 10 years on Aston Martins and have never had one leak...

Failing that if you get a 1/2 drive inpact socket that is just a little bit to small then hit it very hard it will force it on then you should be able to get them off.

If there is no paper work to say its had a belt with in the last 5 years or 70,000 miles then you MUST get it done asap. You will also need to get the aux belt done as well this is a kit only from Renault you get the belt and tensioner. If you are getting the belt done by a local garage then...

We use them on the Aston racer in the wet or dry with no problems and are just as good if not better than the Hoosier slicks we used to use. In the dry against the Hoosier.

Yo yo Little Miss, i have a ph1 172 and i love it to bits, proper hot hatch..

I have the same problem but as my car has not been raped by boy racers and and am i old git i like things how they were from new so i could not fit a after market head unit unless there is another Renault one that can be used with the stalk by the steering wheel..

So is there a difference. Or is it a case of none OEM parts again..? You can not just buy the ball joint from Renault i wanted to replace mine on my ph1 172 they told me that it was new complete bottom arms at a cost of £60.00 each which i find funny as they are bolted on, you can not even buy...

I would be worryed about melting the grease thats in them.....

Mine is a two owner car 1st owner had it for 5 years and did 12,000 in it, the last owner also had it for 5 years. When i bought it about 2 or so months ago its done 39,000 never been smoked in or looks like the back seat have even been sat in i gave £2700 for it on a X reg.

The thing you must ask yourself is "why" did this happen make sure you sort the problem out before spend any more time and money.
