since fitting the matched inlets its had a standard exhaust system on it bar the 182 manifold and decat, got it out lastnight with the 2.5" k-tec stealth and holy s**t does it pull hard now, the pull at 5k is mental now engine/exhaust note changes and it flys!!!!
goes in tomorrow for the rear...
will be loosing torque with that relocation pipe.
yes you can use the twingo gt parts (although keeping in mind the twingo gt has different internals in the engine
if your spending the money on it do it properly and go all out and do something no ones done before, forged internals etc and...
1.2s are terrible on fuel, i get more miles to a tank in my 172 than i did in my 1.2 lol and its easy to drive the 172 like a granny, 1.2s are f**king awful driving like a granny you wont get anywhere!
im insuring my 172 at 19 with 2yrs ncb for £800 so surely it wont cost you that much!
its been a while since i last worked on 1, it LOOKS the same ie with flexy pipe etc if its a <2004 car with the flexi but if its a 2004> car it will have the springs and studs like foxys if you look at his pic
check the boot floor on that make sure its not rippled, chances are its had lexus lights on it thats been swapped for the ph1 lights but just check boot floor to be sure!
100% will be rear shocks if tyres are decent and pressures fine, i spun my 172 twice at 30mph on wide roundabouts because of it, didnt even have time to catch it because was just driving slow with 1 hand on wheel and it just jumped out! you could feel it being unstable at speed on a straightline...
because they then need replaced every bloody year, even sooner if you have a heavyer system than standard which most aftermarket ones are! or else your exhaust just doesnt sit properly! not good if you have an under bumper system
dont know the setup on the 1400 but it might be the flexi pipe or nut bolt and spring fitting kit what ever one it has best bet is to pop the bonnet and get someone to rev it and see if the noise is coming from down the back of the engine.
non RS exhausts are actually pretty decent compaired...
very possibly its had a cracked arch liner and chances are with all the rain were getting the water could be getting into the fuse box area, fun fun fun! ill take the fucker apart next day off see what i can see!
all very well but not going to give half the mpg of a dci not going to be as cheap to tax or insure either! and imo you would then be worth paying the bit extra for an RS model by the time uve declaired your remap to insurance
ive not driven both but ive driven my standard 172 and then driven my otherwise standard 172 with a 182 manifold and decat fitted and was a big difference in mid range torque, and imo mid range torque is what makes a car fast in day to day driving, instead of having to drop to 2nd gear you just...
just drive it to the scottish RR day everyone in this country gets away with everything anyway so you'll just get a slap on the wrist!! - thats a joke dont actually do it! lol
anyway back to the questions, as you know with these cars it could be making any power depends what it starts with...
ive done some basic stripping, spare wheel, toolkit, isofix bar, sound deadning here and there but nothing majour, all bits that are hidden so the car looks fairly standard! but to be honest i cant see it affecting it to much. also keeping in mind the wheels save a bit of weight on the cup and...
hi guys and girls, got a wee issue with the dci, every time i brake i get the light under the fuel light (sorry dont know what its called!) poping on then when i come off the brakes it goes off, if i come straight off the brakes and onto the accelerator the light doesnt go off untill i come off...
