well if its the crankshaftoil seal, its an engine out job, and then you have to replace the main bearings, and big end bearings.
Also, just because youve had a compression test, doesnt mean that its not the headgasket. ITs most likely the headgasket in your case.
well im going to have a go at sorting that idle problem its got steve! but otherwise if theres anything else you want me to have a look at whilst its here let me know!
ive been in this at the weekend, and it is mighty impressive! even though it could be alot better the conversion itself(i.e not using a log manifold!) otherwise its very very quick! accelerates in 4th like 172 does in 2nd!
the black caps are on the passenger side of the engine, if yours has the engine cover on you wont be able to see them. 2 1 1/2" approx circular caps. as this is where the cam timing is done.
it wouldnt run, even if it was just 2 teeth out. bent valves would have been caused. But also on the F4R engines there arent any markings on the pullies, so how they are being accurate on exacly how many teeth its jumped is very suspisous!
