anyone know the name for this colour? the advert said cherry red but not sure if thats the actual renault name for it
just read it ohh noo, ive got the bug already i think lol
just a bit put off by mapping a car thats done 140k, maby im just being silly i dunno! just dont want to put too much stress on it!
i am actually really excited, possibly even more than when i got my 172 haha with the 172 because i...
ohh no why did i open this lol!!
how much are the dci100 intercoolers, are they cheapish from renault or the usual £100000 lol as i assume they arn't too easy to come by as the car was so rare?
payed £1800 for it which isnt to bad considering the condition, just had £300 spent on it at a diesel specialist, got receipts for that not had a look at them though due to a starting problem it was having which is now cured, something to do with injectors (i dont know much about the dci...
Finally got myself a wee runaround today, only got one pic of it so far, pick it up satarday morning
its a 1.5 DCi65 Dynamique, imaculate inside, drives awesome, bit tatty on the outside but that will be sorted in a few weeks time. 140k miles, even more than my last one  but drives...
went for a look today, interior was mint, it drove really well, was quite scruffy on the outside but nothing a trip to the bodyshop wouldnt tidy up.
only 2 things i noticed was 1, the trip computer was showing 16mpg but it had been sitting for a while so would probably have been reset not long...
so basically its due its 2nd cambelt change and a service in the next 4k if its not already been done early, will see how it is, looks 100% imaculate just the miles. but thats the kind of car im looking for, its just to belt to work and back! probably punt it on in a few months!
Going to look at a DCI with 140k miles on the clock tomorrow, apart from the usual checks you would look for on any car what else should i look out for? ive read the buying guide by edde and found a few bits and pieces in there, but is there anything else?
also a few questions...
Whens the...
all you people moaning about the brakes being terrible if your not talking about the lack of ABS then maby you should get a fluid change!! its due every 2 years iirc anyway!
they have a very high point as standard so its probably fine, my old 1.2 clutch done 130k so i wouldnt worry about it at that millage unless its had hard abuse lol
saw u with the bikes on the back didnt notice u till i was passing, had an itchy foot and was leaning down haha was my last day in the car for a while thats it off the road now till i sort out a few bits n bobs! :(
Vehicle make/model Clio 172 FF
Vehicle age 2003
Vehicle Mileage 47k
Mileage when wheel started to fail 15k
Reported to Renault? yes
Renault's Response? nothing wrong with the build quality of the wheel, its not a common fault, general wear and tear. and it actually IS leather (my balls its...
afaik the raised idle is to make it smoother, gets rid of the vibration, didnt think it was quite 1100-1200 though but im not sure on that.
raised limiter wont affect gearbox life, more engine life, apparently the engines shouldnt be used above 7250rpm regularly, cant remember if its the valve...
not been to see it yet going either tomorrow or friday if its still there. its at a dealer surprizingly!, looking at the pictures it looks like its done 20k lol looks absolutely imaculate! its up for £2300, but id be looking to get it for 2k once again only if its 100% ok mechanically...
hi guys, just a quicky here,
im looking at a dci 65 with 140k on the clock, with full service history, motorway miles, now i know my little dynamique 1.2 was running fine apart from burning a bit of oil at 140k but how are the diesels any better, any worse?
apparently its got thousands of...
check the rear dampers for leaking oil as said above, when mine went it was VERY unstable at speed and under braking it was actually that i noticed more than the handling due to mine going in winter when i wasnt pushing it.
i know mine goes over 140mph most days i take it out for a blast and...
if my budget was £100 id go for....
Non RS Clio - Apex -60mm springs (save up for dampers at a later date) spend the rest on getting the tracking done properly
RS Clio - Decat (you probably already have a stainless system as the original fell off a few times!) maby fit an ITG filter in there...
