edde, so you can change the dials and keep your original millage? couple of people on here said they had new dials under warranty because of this problem and it reset their millage and renault said nothing they could do?
get her an N/A Starlet.
we had one that done 250,000 miles in 4 years and only part that needed changed was a clutch and wheel bearings. we had another one at 150,000 that didnt need one single part changed, still on standard clutch, started to need a clutch so sold them both for 2 clios (one...
165-170 on an acurate RR depending on how decent or bad your inlet manifold is. will be bit higher with standard airbox back on tho, dont see the point in a K&N, paying money to make your car slower and sound faster? only time id use an open cone is when the standard airbox cant flow enough air...
best: brand new red M3 or RWD Skyline
worst: 2.0 16v corolla Tsport (guy couldnt drive it very well and i was cornering atleast twice the speed of him every corner and pulling out to overtake and by the time i was ready to pull in he had started gaining and pulling past me lol
ahh thats cars for you, in the last 4 months ive spent 4x what i payed for my car in parts, and thats with £0 labour costs! its had and engine, gearbox, bushes, bearings, exhaust, brakes & suspension along with 4 tyres to name a few!
aye looks like it for a bit mate, looked like it was going to cost a bit more than i thought when you inc insurance increase, and got MOT next month and didnt want to have any hastle getting it thru due to emissions etc, will happen eventually tho
just thought with 45 it would let me go as low as possible and look better as even 50 profile look a bit chunky! and suppose it will handle better, not sure if its noticeable or not tho?
anyone got any pics of 15s on 45 profile?
cheers
as some of you may know i recently blew up my 1.2 16v after 140k of hard miles, looked into 1.6 16v conversion and even buying a 1.6 16v but too much money for another black clio when ive already got one, and insurance was going to sting me for a conversion, so anyway went on a spending spree...
lol i want a shot of that on the road, smoking every c**t at the lights lol
drive at 30 in a 60 then floor it when someone tries to overtake you and watch their face
mine whines when your just touching the throttle to keep it moving and not actually trying to acelerate, its the gearbox, never done it untill my new one went in? only done 8k miles that box so cant see it being fuked
buy it or spend my 2k deposit ive saved on SL02 VNB and get it running again?!?!?! (already spent close to 7k not inc buyingit) 2nd idea is what i want my heart says but head says buy the 1.6 lol
8 valve ouch! i can live with a 16v 1.2 even after driving much faster cars it still feels ok but i just cant live with 8v 1.2s lol only one bit thats decent is the cable throttle, even on the brand new campus ones!
im not going to be ripping up the 1.6 to put a 2.0 in it tho, just i blew up my 1.2 and fancied doing something a bit different while im rebuilding it. although thinking about sticking another 1.2 in it and a set of coilovers with the money im about to spend on it untill i can insure a 172...
yeah all labour being done by myself, mate whos a mechanic helping.
just need to sort something out as ive only gone 3 days without my car now and its killing me so need to get a new car or engine!!
climate/aircon i could do but would rather do without for the extra performance lol plus its...
£400 a month to insure a 172 for me in my own name fully comp, 18, 1yrs experiance 0ncb not paying that lol £1500 for 1.6 16v
jon, £1200 for conversion kit, £300 for oil, filter, airfilter, spark plugs, cambelt, waterpump & clutch. £400 for stainless manifold and decat to link with my...
quite like it just dont know if its worth paying £3,000 more than what my conversions going to cost me for the pleasure of climate, electric sunroof (rather not have one at all!) and a ph3 front end?! lol
fogs should be the same on 52 and 06, just the mounting brackets might be different due to ph2 bumper on 52 and ph3 or 4 on a 06 but mounting brackets are easy to change
thinking of going to look at this on friday, anyone got any feedback on it, is that a resonable price for year/millage/spec?
looks in good condition and the fact there is a 182 behind it on the drive give the impression the guys probably an enthusiast and looks after his cars!
look horrible but since they are 15s fair play, cheaper tyres and better handling you cant beat that.
deffo needs to go lower, that fancy suspension sits to high, get some decent suspension on it ;) like bilstein coils :)
