my mate has a 1.4 8v saxo and its pretty much identical to my 1.2 16v performance wise, he pulls on me from a standing start but if were both moving say 30-100mph its pretty much identical, so wouldnt think a 1.1 would give a 16v a run for its money, saying that tho his is standard mine isnt

hi, recently got myself a set of front foglights with wiring from a 172 cup, now they fit into place fine and all wire up but there is nothing to screw them into on the bumper, i remember russ having this same problem and think it was jon_16v that sold him the mounting brackets or something...

4th Feburary 1989 yep u are older. it may well be a 16v, the badges on the side will have 16v if its a 1.2 16v or 1.2 if its a 1.2 8v. 16v has 75bhp and 8v has 60bhp.

spoiler doesnt look too bad but lights totally ruin it! although a colourcoded dynamique or cup spoiler would look much much better, wouldnt look as cheap and stuck on

been looking at getting a 1.6 16v as a 2nd car so i can start my 2.0 conversion on mine but not sure. £5,000 or what ever its going to cost for a 1.6 is a lot of money for the 30bhp jump, and when you consider extra weight im not so sure its worth it, considering mine is a "special" one :)

dont know anything about teh 180s but after a recent encounter with a 138bhp model in my car the chassis doesnt seem up to much! (maby the guy was just scared to push it) on the other hand, not many small cars that handle like a lowered clio or renaultsport clio

hi will the light/indicator stalk from a ph1 172 fit a 2002 MK2 PH2 1.2 16v? as far as im aware they are the same but wasnt sure, i need one with the front fog feature and seen one for sale cheers

no point in going anything less than 60mm, i know a couple of guys lowered 30-40mm and it looks standard!

was thinking of a smart reply for this thread but thought id be helpfull instead hehe the idea with electric superchargers is there, in theory they should work BUT they dont shift enough air, you would maby notice a slight difference but nothing that would make it worth doing at all.
