fogs weigh to much there for dynamiques mine is an expression AKA "cup"
pmsl.. seriously yeah fogs are on the list, just kinda skint at the moment maby soon
think this might be the one i saw up the retail park, as i remember seeing a MK1 V6 and it was a 53 reg (which i thought was odd, what year did they start he MK2?)
deffo worth it considering all its going to cost you is what £30 for an ITG then a couple of quid for cold air feed and what ever you need.
go for it matey, be different :)
spray some WD40 on them so it looks like they are leaking and get them done under warrenty.
APEX kit is awesome on the other hand tho and the one must have mod for any non RS
but how can you exclude the VTS and 106GTi they are still 1.6 16v's!
i was hoping to build a VTS eating monster with a 1.6 16v K4M which i still know is possible with enough effort and money, but i cant afford to mod it for now so would just be a standard 1.6 16v for a while.
good idea...
well fitting a cold air feed helps but theres still far to much hot air, the problem starts especially when your sitting at a junction or traffic lights so all the hot air under the bonnet is just collecting and then when you try to pull away you have hardly any power lol
last time i was in Arnold Clark they had delivery millage pre registered dynamiques for £6,000 which is twice as good as a cheap ass campus.
atleast get a campus sport which is basically an extreme 4, the normal campus is a 1.2 8v which are slower than slow! (i know a couple of people who have...
yep its some sort of switch on the brake pedal, the guys who fitted my mums dual controls managed to make the brakelights do this on the 1.2 16v learner car. took it into renault and they sorted it in 2 minz! someone on here will know how to do it though if you dont already.
lol i know a guy about here who has a 1.0 new shape corsa which apparently (and i quote) "eats Corsa SXI 1.2 16v's for breakfast"
i couldnt be bothered arguing so just put on a surprized face and said cool and told him how ive been a lot faster than some of them too.
my mate who was with me...
glad my video pleased someone :) welcome to cliosport boxxy!
depends how far you want to go for mods you can get a pannel filter for £30 or so which is just a better quality free'er flowing replacement for the airfilter, lets the engine breath better or you can go for an induction kit which...
after watching bmh.01's video ive kinda went off the idea, its not *that* much faster where its worth the money, going to fix the headgasket and rocker cover gasket on the 1.2 and hold of untill i can insure a 2.0 16v conversion
i like stripes, black bumper etc only one bit im not to sure on is the front light eyebrow things but once again im just not sure on them cant decide if i like them or not.
does look a bit faster but nothing majour, its the extra torque im looking for also just found out today that theres a possibility that ive got a fuked head gasket AND rocker cover gasket :(
think im going to buy a 1.6 16v do a bit of work to it, run the 1.2 into the ground then do the conversion.
if you need a new engine and were putting all that effort into fitting it then why not make it worth while and do somthing different?
Oliver_K4M, thanks for all your help, in your opinion what engine is the better one to go for, Mechanical throttle w/o VVT (with F4R throttle body) or electric...
as said above if it has onboard VGA then remove the AGP/PCI graphics card and give the onboard a go as it could be eather a conflict or you might just need to dissable the onboard VGA
pmsl sounds like my mate whos 1.0 corsa apparently eats 16v SXI's and 16v clios, but yet he never wants to go a wee thrash when ive got my car with me :D
hmm well after watching some speedo videos and compairing them to mine i found a 1.6 16v to pull from 4mph to 60mph in EXACTLY the same time to my slightly modded 1.2 16v :S
doesnt seem so good anymore, suppose numbers arnt everything!!
see problem is, mine is an expression model which as far as i know didnt come in a 1.6 16v only a 1.4 16v. i can afford to insure a 1.6 16v clio no problem, so thats all i would tell the insurance company it was? (once the dvla records were sorted)
also i know its only a 35bhp difference but...
Im looking at buying a Renault K4M 1.6 16v engine pretty soon for a conversion and just looking for some info on them. ive never done a conversion before so its all new to me but im really willing to learn and don’t mind getting my hands dirty also got plenty mates who have done conversions...
