When you depressurised the system the lines will have emptied and the high pressure pump will now be sucking just air. Dont keep cranking away unless you want to replace that too
You need to bleed the system properly and purge the air out between the tank and the high pressure pump
Got a 100mm T piece from the Foglight duct up to the airbox. I'd much prefer to have a V6 airbox tbh as it has one large opening
Best pic I have, the air feed comes up in front of the battery
Ace! Have you done any mods to things while the engine has been out? Decat/EGR-manifold block off? I sack the torque settings off for the cam and just heave on the fucker so it DOES NOT come loose!!??
Sounds like a clone of my car! ?
Exhaust I've got a Ktec Stealth supersprint but still have the 172 manifold for now. Probably gonna get a 182 one this winter ready for next year
Pads I've got PBS and some Mintex Racing F3 but I've got a set of Megane 225 Brembos and PBS pads to go on
Tyres...
Welcome mate :)
Looks spot on that! Ignore yellowstuff pads as EBC are pretty awful, PBS/Ferodo DS2500 are a good starting block and fairly cheap and cheerful.
@George@RTR_Parts is definitely the man to speak to about any braking needs!
What else have you got planned for the car? :)
Aye I know that mate, but when they've been used every weekend for the past 5 years or so they start to go weak? It has no issues lifting the full frontal weight of a clio mind.
You can just tell it's not happy about jacking up the drivers side of a Megane derv which is on the nearer side of 2...
I've got a few Sealey ones and a few cheap jobbies. None have really let me down but they all struggle as time has gone on and they've had some good abuse! I prefer the Sealey low profile one I have with the swivel jacking head so you can jack the car up but not have the bar hit the fence/wall...
How often does that happen though?
Plus most people on trackdays have collateral. I.e. I wouldn't personally be letting them drive away in their car. It would stay with me until I got my end of the deal. Just gotta have faith that people aren't complete scumbag c***s
Hi mate,
Apparently, some companies do offer remaps for these and they can see upwards of ~100bhp. As they have a tiny snail on them then the limiting factor will usually be that as it's not much bigger than a common household hairdryer on the 0.9. I'd stick with a remap first and then see what...
Road + Track use then I'm sure Adrian Flux can cater for that. As Martin said, I don't see the point. You sign a waver to declare the track can't be sued if you die and if you bin your own car then you stiffen your lip and take the hit unless your car is £4k+. The only time it would be useful is...
Winner!
Clean the throttle body, I did it on my sisters Clio tCe III as it was stalling all over the shop and then sometimes idling above 1500rpm. It took me all of 10 minutes to do and it drives perfect now. I cleaned the MAP sensor and air temp sensor too while I was in there
Nee botha
Aye ream beam bushes can suck my balls ? I'm still quite amazed the brake lines fit perfectly under the 2 U bolts. It really is almost as if they thought about the positioning of them in that certain spot entirely for that reason...?
