Agreed, my 106 had terrible rust issues so glad it's nothing serious like that. Haha wouldn't have blamed you if you took the chair, gotta take your chances!

Clio Cup Turbo vs Porsche 911 GTS @ Brands Hatch

One thing I'll never ever understand, is why people take passengers out on their track days. People go to all that effort weight shedding and increasing power/weight ratio and then stick 60kg(+++) in the passenger seat!

    James' 172 Cup Project

All fixed! New injector did the job.Nice and easy in the end, just a pain in the arse and another £40 into the endless money pit that is my Clio.

    James' 172 Cup Project

Finally happy with how this thing rides and drives. At long last I've eliminated all knocking and rattling noises by installing the new rear dampers and lowering the exhaust down a few mm using a couple of washers. Went out for a drive on Wednesday with my mate and his new toy. They're quite...

    Clio 172 cup

Sits just fine mate. My VMaxx Coilovers sit a little lower than yours, and they've got much further to go- but your Bilsteins will outhandle them all day long, it's called compromising!

    D11CUP RB182 project thread

Dude, change the gearbox oil before making any big commitments (ie dropping it off to have the box removed). You said yourself it's not affecting the drive-ability of the car (yet), so no need to hit the panic button. An oil change is simple enough and cheap and may just solve the issue - even...

Couple of updates to keep the thread going. Took probably my favourite ever photo of the Cup not long ago. Forgot to add it to here. This one's from a while ago, @dann2707 & @Coops Mk1 bleeding the brakes whilst I...erm.. @dann2707 also came around last week to help replace the the rear Stub...

    Interesting ethnic minority clio..

Get the RS kit on, front splitter, skirts and rear wing and it would look fantastic!

    Took a 172 owner for a spin

Yeah, first class prick! Worst part is that I was already letting it go at my absolute lowest price and I made that clear to him well before he came. I had advertised the car honestly so there was no way he could justify still bartering the price, so I told him to get lost. I sold it a week...

    Took a 172 owner for a spin

Ah right, fair enough. I remember selling my Corsa VXR some Asian guy made me an offer over the phone which I accepted, he got the train to Derby from Bradford (surprise surprise). He asked for a test drive which is fair enough, provided proof of insurance etc, we both got in the car and before...

There's only one logical answer. It's now making so much power it's blown a driveshaft in the first 24 hours, didn't know RSTuning were that good.

    182_steve's FF 182 progress thread!

Glad it's sorted mate. Hopefully the gearbox is silky smooth! Also good news about the refund, however I think the only way I'd be happy with the extra 10% is if I'd paid £5000 for the box in the first place though. I'd have tried charging them time for the garage's lost labour (as it's been...

    182_steve's FF 182 progress thread!

What an absolute nightmare! Sucks to be without your car for so long, never mind it being stuck on the garage’s ramp! Would be certainly asking for some serious compensation in one form or another. Keep us updated.

    Clio 172 insurance increases?

My 172 Cup was more expensive to insure than my old Corsa VXR (and a lot more than my old 106 GTi) - fancy that. Guess Clio's have a bad name when it comes to insurance claims, strange.
