    2005 RB 182 Cup

Typical french car, being the problematic / unreliable one out of the group. Been there myself a few times and i'm sure i'll be there again. That saying, like you mentioned, i'm sure it held it's own when it came to the twisty's! Looked like an awesome trip!

    Daniels Slower Blue 182

This is actually the worst photo taken of any car ever in the history of taking photos of cars

    D11CUP RB182 project thread

Decent list you got going there mate! I know the feeling about potholes, a few sizeable meteorites have struck in my area over the last few years, council haven't seemed to notice. Still, gives my mates something to laugh at when they see me weaving over the road

    Mondial Blue Cup Track Car

Nice cars mate. Love the Sparcos in the track car, I’ve got exactly the same, not seen many of them before. They’re a super tight fit though! Guessing I’ve got the xxxs size!

    WP53 OKO - Glacier White - 172 Cup

Surprised you didn't have people knocking you door down asking to buy it once you stopped driving it!

2004 Cup Packed Petrol Blue 182!

Nice work. Nothing worse than the smell of gearbox oil all over your garage floor, been there myself and has put me off ever changing the stuff again! Was it not worth doing the belts whilst the engine was out?

What's the average 172 Cup Mileage these days?

Had 36 votes so far, giving a rough average of 91k. Obviously I can't work out an exact figure, but between everyone who's voted on this thread, I can say we've clocked over 3 million miles together in our Cups 😌

What's the average 172 Cup Mileage these days?

I've got the exact same issue, except mines on 94k and a daily currently :weary:

What's the average 172 Cup Mileage these days?

Thanks for the votes guys, keep em up. More the better! Judging from the results so far, the average cup mileage is approx. 78k miles. A bit less than mine :pensive: Would be super interested to find the two people who own Cups on less than 20k? They're hugely swaying the results. Must be...

    Project Inferno

Nice updates mate, Inferno looks so good when clean. If it makes you feel any better, I went through EXACTLY the same pain as you when I decided to spray the headlining on my old 106 GTi. It was only a track car project however, so wasn't that fussed on the finish, think I ordered an extra 4 or...

    What an epic day!

Just happened to stumble across this, nice write up! Nothing worse than finding some epic roads and stuck behind traffic. Did you get a fine in the end?

What's the average 172 Cup Mileage these days?

If you have a 172 Cup, what Mileage are you on? Cast your vote above! With Cup prices being tipped to increase over the next few years, it'd be interesting to get an average mileage for the car, now some are reaching 16 years old!

    The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy

Great that progress is coming along, but that's a shame about the Sachs :pensive:What's your plan with them then? They surely still look salvageable?

Chronicles of #1/29 Petrol Blue 182

That does look approximately 10,000 times better actually, still prefer the Turinis though. Maybe I'm a bit biased aha

Chronicles of #1/29 Petrol Blue 182

Fair point. Even still, arch gap isn't too much of an issue when it's sitting on the standard alloys, as you can just claim you're going for the OEM look!
  24. Bye for now

Chronicles of #1/29 Petrol Blue 182

I would just keep it on Turinis unless you plan on lowering it further. The arch gap really shows on those aftermarket wheels?

    Turning Garage Into Detailing Studio

Awesome work! So clean, and like Jonnio said, I'm off to clean up my garage haha. Have you thought about putting some foam strips down the brick pillars that stick out? As a precaution for the unlikely event a door were to swing open into them?

1*2 or 197 - £3,000 to spend at the very most

I'd say 106 GTi all day long, you can still get sound examples for around 2000-2500. But if you're using it for commuting (even if it's just 9 miles a day) I'd go for a Clio 172/182. It'll be hard to find a reliable/looked after 197 for that price I'd have thought.

My Peugoet 208 GTI by P.S.

I'd definitely take the 208, Fiesta STs are common as muck, never look at them twice when they drive past these days. (That saying, there's a reason there's so many - they're awesome cars - just not for me.) 208 GTi looks great btw, not seen one in white before!
